SPECIAL CELL (TYR), DELHI POLICE ARRESTED ONE CRIMINAL WANTED IN 2 CASES INCLUDING ROBBERY AND ATTEMPT TO MURDER CASE.

• ONE PISTOL WITH MAGAZINE AND A STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED.

A dedicated team of Special Cell, Trans Yamuna Range, Delhi Police, led by Inspectors Rahul Kumar and Vineet Kumar Tewatia, under the close supervision of ACP Sh. Kailash Singh Bishthas successfully arrested a desperate criminal namely Gurdas Singh S/o Purushottam R/o Mansarover Park, Shahdara, Delhi Age-25 years. The accused was wanted in two criminal cases pertaining to robbery and attempt to murder. On the instance of the accused Gurdas one illegal pistol along with magazine was recovered which was kept in the toolbox of a stolen bike, parked in the area of Dilshad Garden Delhi.

Further, Non Bailable warrant has already been issued against him in case FIR No. 33/2020 u/s 302/34 IPC PS Mansarover Park, Delhiby the Hon’ble Ld. Courtin which he alongwith his associates murdered a person in the area of Mansarover Park Delhi. The accused Gurdas Singh also wanted in below mentioned cases. 

1.   FIR No. 127/2025 u/s 309(4)/3(5) PS Sector-23 Dwarka, Delhi

2.   FIR No. 218/25 u/s 115(2)/118/109(2)/3(5) & 27Arms Act PS M.S. Park, Delhi

OPERATION:

          In pursuit of a constant endeavor to arrest the proclaimed offenders and wanted criminals involved in heinous criminal cases, the teams of Trans Yamuna Range (TYR) of Special Cell are continuously making intensive efforts to track and arrest them. Accordingly, a secret and discreet watch is being kept on the activities of such criminals and finally the team efforts bore fruits when on June 06, 2025 a specific information about the movement of desperate criminal namely Gurdas Singh in the area of Uttrakhand was received. Acting swiftly on the information, desperate criminal namely Gurdas Singh was apprehended from Uttarakhand.

The timely apprehension of the accused led to prevention of untoward incident and workout of two heinous cases. His mobile phone was analysed and several photos of the accused with a pistol were found. Upon interrogation accused Gurdas disclosed that he had parked a bike near a park in the area of Dilshad Garden, Delhi.

On the instance of Gurdas Singh, near Seed Bed Park, Dilshad Garden, Delhi one Splendor motorcycle was recovered and from the toolbox of the bike, one pistol with magazine was recovered. Upon checking the bike, the same was found to be stolen from the area of PS Sagarpur Delhi on 18/10/2024. In pursuant of recovery of illegal pistol, a case vide FIR No182/2025 dated07/06/2025 u/s25 Arms Act PS-Special Cell was registered.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON:

He was born at Mansarover Park, Dilshad Garden, Delhi. His father is a driver & mother is a house wife. He has studied up to 10^th standard and thereafter left studies and came in contact with bad elements of the area. In 2020, he along with his associates committed murder of one person namely Rishi and in this regard FIR No. 33/2020 u/s 302/34 IPC was registered at PS Mansarover Park, Delhi. Gurdas was arrested in the case and went to jail. He got bail in this case in 2024 and after that he again indulged in criminal activities with his associates. Gurdas didn’t turn up in courts hearing and a NBW has been issued by the LD Judge.

In the year 2024, he along with his associates stole a motorcycle from the area of PS Sagar Pur, Delhi and in this regard FIR No. 32247/2024 U/S-305(B) was registered.  In 2025, accused Gurdas was in need of money and on 30.04.2025 he along with his associates committed a robbery in the area of PS Sector-23 Dwarka, Delhi on gun point from despatch centre of M/S Delivery Pvt Ltd and a FIR No-127/2025 dt. 30/04/2025 U/S-309(4)/3(5) BNS was registered.  Subsequently, on 02.05.2025 in collusion with his associates, he also attempted to kill a person in area of PS MS Park and caused gunshot injury to the victim and FIR No. 218/2025 dt. 02/05/2025 U/S-115(2)/118/109(2)/3(5) was registered against him. After committing crime Gurdas fled from his house & hid himself at Uttrakhand. The accused is a habitual criminal and involved in 4 cases including Murder, Attempt to Murder, Robbery and Theft
