Dated 16 October 2024 - A special meeting of the Municipal Corporation Council was organized in the Corporation Council office under the chairmanship of Chairman Shri Manoj Singh Tomar. During the discussion, Chairman Shri Tomar sought competent approval of the works being done by Smart City and information about other points from Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Aman Vaishnav. On which Municipal Commissioner Shri Vaishnav told that not a single payment has been made to Smart City since January 2024 and payment will not be made until the problem is resolved.
Notices have been issued by the company for not following the terms of the contract. After this, Chairman Shri Manoj Singh Tomar directed Municipal Commissioner Shri Aman Vaishnav to discuss with Smart City and make arrangements for lighting in the city till Diwali. Adequate arrangements of team and material should be made to install street lights. While the discussion was going on, the council was adjourned till 3 pm on 21 October 2024.
