Justice Maheshwari on the True Purpose of Life: Serving Society.

Gulshan Paruthi. Gwalior.

We have the ability to give something to the society, that is why God has chosen us. We should perform our duty with full devotion and honesty. The one who speaks the truth is also opposed. So without worrying about anything, you should continue with your responsibility," said Justice Shri J.K. Maheshwari, Judge, Supreme Court, at the assumption of charge ceremony of Gwalior branch of Indian Medical Association (IMA).

The event was held at the auditorium of Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management on Sunday. Justice Shri J.K. Maheshwari was the Chief Guest, Justice Shri Anand Pathak, Administrative Judge, High Court Bench Gwalior and Collector Smt. Ruchika Chauhan were present on the dais as Special Guests. Dr. R.K.S Dhakad, Dean, GR Medical College, Dr. Brijesh Singhal, President, IMA, Dr. Prashant Lahariya, Past President, Dr. Snehlata Dubey, Secretary and other eminent doctors were present on the occasion.

Justice Maheshwari, while sharing his memories on the occasion, handed over the charge of IMA President to Dr. Singhal. He said that the responsibility of doctors towards the society is of utmost importance, and we should always play our role with honesty.

Justice Shri Anand Pathak said, "Dr. Brijesh Singhal and his team deserve congratulations for naming this ceremony as 'Jayaitva Grahan Samaroh' and not 'Padya Grahan Karma'. He suggested IMA to spread awareness about mental health and becoming a better attendant through workshops.

Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan said, "The profession of a doctor is as challenging as that of judicial and administrative officers. But doctors have special respect in the society and people have high expectations from them." He informed that a three-day camp is going to be organized in Gwalior in December in collaboration with AIIMS, in which the role of IMA will be important.

On this occasion, Dean Dr. Dhakad said, "Doctors are called God on earth, but we should not consider them as creators, but should see them as humans only."

At the end of the program, the students of Rajaman Singh Music and Arts University staged a play and gave the message of 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao'.

The program was conducted by Dr. Rosa Olyai and Dr. Pratibha Garg.
