K.R. Mangalam University Strengthens Academia–Society Partnership through MoU with Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti

K.R. Mangalam University (KRMU), one of the leading multidisciplinary private universities in India, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti on 10 November 2025 at the University Campus, Sohna Road, Gurugram.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Rahul Sharma, Registrar, K.R. Mangalam University, and Sh. Vijay Gaur, Chairperson, Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti, in the  benign presence of Raghuvir Singh Vice Chancellor of KRMU with senior university officials, faculty members, and representatives of Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti.
This partnership aims to promote academic collaboration, research, community engagement, and capacity building between academia and civil society. Both institutions have committed to work together on joint research projects, faculty and student development programmes, workshops, internships, and outreach initiatives addressing pressing social issues.
About the Collaboration
Under this MoU:
* Joint Research & Publications: Faculty and researchers from both institutions will jointly undertake projects and publish in reputed journals.
* Training & Workshops:
Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti will conduct specialised training programmes and awareness sessions for journalism and mass-communication students on themes such as social development, legal literacy, and community advocacy.
* Internships & Field Exposure: Students from the School of Emerging Media and Creator Economy (SEMCE) at KRMU will gain experiential learning opportunities through internships with Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti.
* Community Outreach: The collaboration will facilitate student involvement in real-world social campaigns, legal-aid awareness, and sustainability drives.

About the Partners
Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti is a renowned Delhi-based NGO led by Prof. K.K. Aggarwal, President, South Asia University as Chief Patron of the Samiti. 
The organisation has collaborated with national and international bodies such as WHO, UN-Habitat, and Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, working extensively in legal awareness, social welfare, and community mobilisation.
K.R. Mangalam University, established in 2013 under the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2013, is a state-private multidisciplinary university located in Gurugram. With 12 schools offering 100 + programmes, KRMU is recognised for academic excellence, research innovation, and its emphasis on social responsibility.
