Martyr's Day Parade was organized at the Parade Ground located at Police Line Jhabua in memory of the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country on Police Smriti Diwas. The Superintendent of Police took the salute of the parade. Thereafter, from 01.09.2023 to 31.08.2024, the names of 214 police officers / employees of different states in the country, including 23 policemen of Madhya Pradesh, were read out, who sacrificed their lives for the country while performing their duties.
On this occasion, Principal District and Sessions Judge Mrs. Vidhi Saxena, District Collector Mrs. Neha Meena, Superintendent of Police Padmavilochan Shukla, Additional Superintendent of Police Premlal Kurve and all other officers/employees and dignitaries, journalists and children paid tribute to the martyrs by offering wreaths and garlands of flowers at the Police Martyrs Memorial. Also, the importance of Martyrs' Day was explained to the children present. It is noteworthy that on 21 October 1959, a small patrol team of CRPF personnel deployed to protect the border at Hot Spring in Ladakh was ambushed by a large number of Chinese army. But our soldiers bravely faced the Chinese soldiers, in which 10 CRPF soldiers were martyred. In their memory, Police Memorial Day is celebrated every year on 21 October.
In the above Martyr's Day parade ceremony, Principal District and Sessions Judge Mrs. Vidhy Saxena and other judges, District Collector Mrs. Neha Meena, Superintendent of Police Padmavilochan Shukla, Additional Superintendent of Police Premlal Kurve, Divisional Forest Officer Hare Singh Thakur, District Panchayat CEO Jitendra Singh Chauhan, Commandant Home Guard Shashidhar Pillai, all SDOPs, all police station in-charges, all office staff, Police Line and SAF force, dignitaries, journalists and students from various schools were present.
