CME was organized on the occasion of World Osteoporosis Day at Government Medical College Datia, under the guidance of Dean and Chief Guest of CME Dr. Deepak S Marawi, courtesy of Orthopedic Surgeon Association Datia and Pharmacology Department! It is known that World Osteoporosis Day is celebrated every year on 20 October, the purpose of which is to create awareness among people about osteoporosis, this year's theme was "Say No to Fragile Bones"! First of all, the CME was started by lighting the lamp by the Chief Guest of CME, Dean Dr. Deepak Singh Marawi and Hospital Superintendent Dr. Arjun Singh and by garlanding Maa Saraswati by Senior Ortho Surgeon of Datia Dr. S.K. Khangar! Medical Dean Dr. Deepak Singh Marawi, who himself is a renowned orthopedic surgeon, increased the knowledge of the students through case scenarios and case discussions of osteoporosis!
Head of the Orthopedic Department Dr. Tribhuvan Singh explained in detail about the symptoms, causes of osteoporosis disease and the theme and objectives of this year! Head of the Department of Pharmacology Dr. S.K. Baudh gave a presentation on the subject of Medical Management of Osteoporosis and Associate Professor Dr. Mayank Bansal threw light on the surgical management of osteoporosis! Dr. Mukesh Sharma, Dr. Manish Verma, Dr. Kuldeep Dinkar, Dr. Dhruv, Dr. Ranjit, Dr. Mahendra Dhakad gave presentations on their respective subjects! A quiz was organized for MBBS and MS students and in the end a panel discussion was organized on various aspects of osteoporosis in which Dr. Amrita Chauhan, Head of Psychiatry Department, Dr. Shweta Yadav, Head of Gynecology Department, Associate Professor of Medicine Dr. Hemant Jain, Head of Ortho Department Dr. Tribhuvan Singh, Head of Pharmacology Department Dr. S.K. Bauddh were present and Dean Dr. Deepak Singh Marawi imparted knowledge! The program was conducted by Dr. Kritika Arya! Medical Superintendent of Medical College Datia Dr. Arjun Singh, Dr. Rajesh Gupta, Dr. Pradeep Shukla, Dr. B.P. Kale, Dr. Mahendra Bharti, Dr. Anil Mangeshkar, Dr. Abhishek Sharma, Dr. Kiran Tripathi and medical teachers, PG students, MBBS students and departmental staff participated in large numbers in the said CME!
