ONE DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED BY STAFF OF PS AMBEDKAR NAGAR; 4.994 KG GANJA RECOVERED

INTRODUCTION
In a major success against street-level drug peddling, the staff of PS Ambedkar Nagar, South District has done commendable work by arresting a drug supplier namely Sanmungam in case FIR No. 405/25 u/s 20 NDPS Act, PS Ambedkar Nagar. Upon his instance, 4.994 kilograms of ganja was recovered.
 
BRIEFING OF THE STAFF
Under the ongoing drive against drug peddlers and suppliers, special emphasis has been laid on identifying and dismantling supply chains of narcotics in the area. The staff of PS Ambedkar Nagar, under the leadership of SHO/PS Ambedkar Nagar and overall guidance of ACP/C.R. Park, was tasked with focused surveillance and intelligence development. 
INCIDENT & OPERATION
On 12.09.2025, staff of PS Ambedkar Nagar comprising of ASI Pankaj Rajora, HC Wasim, HC Ashok, Ct Sanjay, and Ct Sandeep were deployed on patrolling duty. While patrolling in the area when the team reached near in Madangir, Delhi, when they noticed a person carrying a black bag and moving hurriedly from the BRT side. On suspicious he was signalled to stop, but seeing the police staff he attempted to flee but the police staff acted promptly and successfully overpowered him. He was asked about his whereabouts but he could not give any satisfactory response. On checking of the bag 4.994 kg ganja was recovered from his possession. Later on, he was identified as Sanmungam. In this regard a case vide FIR No. 405/25 u/s 20 NDPS Act was registered at PS Ambedkar Nagar. The accused was arrested and the recovered ganjaa seized.

Sanmungam S/o Munnu Swami r/o Madangir, Ambedkar Nagar, New Delhi. Age - 58 years 
RECOVERY
4.994 kg of ganjaa.
