Superintendent of Police held a meeting to review the upcoming festivals, pending cases, prevention of crimes and curbing anti-social activities.

  • All gazetted officers and police station in-charges of city/rural were present.
  • During the meeting, important guidelines were given regarding women's security arrangements in the upcoming festivals.
  • Strict instructions were given to the police station heads of the district to deploy police force at the point and to remain roaming in the area.
  • Instructions were given to take immediate action on complaints and reports related to women and children and not to be negligent.

Keeping in view the upcoming festivals Navratri, Dussehra, a crime meeting was held today on 02-10-24 at the Police Control Room Ujjain to ensure that they are conducted in an atmosphere of peace and harmony, quick removal of crimes and curbing anti-social elements/activities by the Superintendent of Police Ujjain. Additional Superintendent of Police City West Shri Guruprasad Parashar and all the City Superintendents of Police/Sub-Divisional Officers of City/Rural areas and all the Police Station Incharges were present in the said meeting.

Superintendent of Police Ujjain gave instructions to maintain security/law and order in the upcoming festivals, processions and celebrations in a simple and peaceful manner, and to maintain smooth traffic system in the city. Along with this, strict instructions were given to resolve the crimes related to women on time through CM Helpline, as well as to keep a constant watch on the goons, miscreants, exiles, history-sheeters of the police station area and take proper preventive action if they are found to be active and to curb their activities by taking legal action by running a campaign against the people involved in anti-social activities like sale of illegal liquor and drugs, illegal arms, gambling, betting.

Along with this, the venue of the Garba Mahotsav to be held in the upcoming Navratri festival was physically inspected and the areas where crimes against women are likely to be identified and the women police officers were instructed to keep visiting the area and stay in touch with the women and talk to them, to make them feel a fear-free environment.
