Shastra-Pujan in Gwalior: Dussehra Celebrated with Grandeur.

Gwalior - 12 October 2024 - According to the ancient traditions of Indian Sanatan culture, Shastra-Poojan was organized in Gwalior on the occasion of Dussehra. The ceremony was held at the Police Armory located at DRP Line under the chief hospitality of Social Justice and Horticulture Minister Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha and special presence of MP Shri Bharat Singh Kushwaha. Senior administrative and police officers like IG, DIG, Collector and SP also attended the event.

On the grand festival of Vijay Dashami, symbolizing the victory of good over evil, Minister Shri Kushwaha and MP Shri Bharat Singh along with other officials performed Shastra-Poojan by offering oblations in the holy Yagya amid Vedic chants. After this Mangal Aarti was organized.

On the initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, this year the government and the society are celebrating Dussehra festival with great pomp. This year's Dussehra festival is dedicated to Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai, a symbol of women empowerment and good governance, whose public welfare works were remembered by organizing a Shastra Pujan program.

This event in Gwalior is a symbol of social and cultural unity, and it shows that the government and society are working together to preserve centuries-old traditions.
