A fierce Laxman Meghnad battle took place in the air at a height of 180 feet on the Luv Kush Ramlila stage.

Arjun Kumar President of the renowned Luv Kush Ramlila Committee organized at the Red Fort Ground, said that today Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, observed the Leela of Lord Shri Ram at the Leela Sthal and worshipped Lord Shri Ramchandra ji by applying Tilak and took his blessings. On this occasion, he extended heartfelt greetings to all Ram devotees on the occasion of Dussehra.

According to Arjun Kumar, the president of the Leela, today the Leela started with Ganesh Vandana, Kumbhakaran's killing, Laxman-Meghnad battle, Meghnad's killing, Sulochana asking permission from Ravana to ask for her head, Sulochana's arrival at Ram's camp, taking her husband's head, Vibhishan stopping her from self-immolation, Ravana's invocation of Ahiravan, Ahiravan's arrival from Patal Lok, Ahiravan taking Ram Laxman to Patal Lok in disguise from Ram-camp, Makardhwaj Hanuman battle, the Leela till Ahiravan's killing was enacted.

Arjun Kumar also told that former Delhi Mayor Jathedar Avtar Singh is known for his height, weight and loud voice, today he performed Kumbhakaran's powerful act at the Leela Sthal Red Fort Ground, all the Ram bhakts sitting on the ground clapped. To wake up 135 kg Jathedar Avtar Singh Kumbhakaran from eternal sleep with the sound of digital sound, 8 tracks of sound were used, earth shaking sound, trumpeting of elephant, roar of lion, 101 pots were broken, he was pierced with arrows and spears, he was woken up with the sound of drums and nagada, he was given 101 kg of sweets and food and hundreds of litres of water to eat.

Committee Chairman Arjun Kumar also informed that effigies of Ravan, Kumbhakaran, Meghnad of 120-110-100 feet height have been installed for Dussehra festival at the Leela Sthal, Red Fort Ground. The effigies are very attractive. When an arrow is shot at the effigy of Ravan, Amrit will fall from his navel, his eyes will roll, tears of blood will drip from his eyes, swords will be seen rotating in his hands, garlands around his neck will be seen in different colours, the effigy will be burnt while chanting 'Hey Ram, Hey Ram'. Apart from the effigies of Ravan, Kumbhakaran, Meghnad, a fourth effigy has also been installed at the Leela Sthal against the atrocities on women. Thousands of people had to be deprived of treatment due to the doctors' strike in Kolkata recently. The government is requested to make strict laws to empower women. The effigies of the oppressors will be burnt against the atrocities on women.

After the Leela the committee's general secretary Subhash Goyal, chairman Pawan Gupta, senior vice president Satyabhushan Jain, Saurav Gupta, Sandeep Bhutani, treasurer Ankur Goyal, Leela minister Praveen Singhal, Rajesh Verma, Gaurav Suri, Rajkumar Gupta, Veeru Singhi, Lokesh Bansal and all other officials honoured the guests and the Leela was concluded with the Aarti and Charan Vandana of Lord Shri Ram.
