Police arrested five vicious miscreants who were planning to rob a petrol pump located on Needam Road.
Gwalior dated 23.09.2024. On 22.09.2024, information was received through informer that some armed miscreants sitting inside the boundary wall near Pahad Wale Hanuman Mandir in village Auhadpur are planning to rob the petrol pump located near Patal Wale Hanuman Mandir on Needam Road. The said information was informed to senior police officers. On which Superintendent of Police Gwalior Shri Rakesh Kumar Sagar, IPS was directed to verify the informer information and take action. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gwalior, Additional Superintendent of Police (East/Traffic/Crime) Shri Shiaz K.M. (IPS) directed the joint teams of Crime Branch and Thana University Police to verify the informer information and take action against the miscreants.
As per the instructions of senior officers, under the guidance of ASP Crime Mr. Ayush Gupta (Bapu Se), DSP Crime Mr. Nagendra Singh Sikarwar and CSP University Ms. Hina Khan, joint teams of Crime Branch and Police Station University Police were deployed for action by Police Station Incharge Crime Branch Inspector Ajay Singh Panwar and Police Station Incharge University Inspector Upendra Chari. Joint teams of Crime Branch and Police Station University Police reached near Alkapuri Tiraha and after making the teams aware of the action plan, they reached the roundabout near Needam Road Registrar Office. Where two teams of police force were formed and after reaching the place told by the informer, the area was cordoned off. After that, the police team hid behind the boundary wall and saw that as per the informer's information, five boys were sitting inside the boundary wall in a circle on the ground and were talking among themselves about robbing the petrol pump near Patal Wale Hanuman Mandir. They were calling each other by the names Nitesh, Karua, Virendra, Ann and Narendra and were saying that first Virendra and Narendra will throw dust in the eyes of the petrol pump owners, after that Karua will point a gun at them and all the petrol pump owners will be beaten with sticks and rods and all the money will be looted and after the incident, all the people will run away towards the Ramua village highway in the dark. Both the police teams surrounded and caught 05 miscreants. On interrogation, they told their names as (1) Nitesh Jatav (2) Mohan alias Karua Jatav (3) Virendra son of Basant Jatav (4) Arun alias Annu (5) Narendra Jatav. On interrogation, the criminals said that they had gathered there in preparation to commit robbery at the petrol pump located near Hanuman Temple on Needam Road. Upon search, one bamboo stick and a cloth to cover the face were recovered from the possession of criminal Nitesh Jatav (2), one 315 bore pistol and a live round and a cloth to cover the face were recovered from Mohan alias Karua (3), one small iron crowbar, a packet of red chilli powder, a cloth to cover the face were recovered from Virendra Jatav (4), one iron rod and a cloth to cover the face were recovered from Arun alias Annu Jatav (5), one bamboo stick, a packet of red chilli powder, a cloth to cover the face were recovered from Narendra.
Against the accused arrested by University Police Station, a case was registered under Crime No. 346/24 under sections 310(4), 310(5) BNS 11/13 MPDPK Act 25,27 Arms Act and the material was seized from all the accused and they were formally arrested. The police is questioning the arrested criminals in detail about other crimes and is also gathering information about their criminal records. The arrested accused have been committing crimes since childhood. During interrogation of the arrested criminals, more than one and a half dozen incidents of thefts in Police Station Maharajpura, Purani Cantonment, Murar and University Police Station areas have been revealed. All the criminals caught are very clever, about 160 grams of gold jewellery and 800 grams of silver jewellery, iPhones bought from stolen money, three mobile phones and household goods and a motorcycle worth about Rs. 3 lakh have been seized from them in a total of 15 crimes in police station Vishwavidyalaya, Murar, Purani Cantonment and Maharajpura. Detailed inquiry is being done regarding other theft incidents in the city, which is likely to reveal other theft incidents as well.

(1) Nitesh son of Pritam Singh Jatav resident of Futi Colony Sirol Gwalior
(2) Mohan alias Karua son of Balveer Jatav resident of village Jarga police station Sirol Gwalior
(3) Virendra son of Basant Jatav resident of Darpan Colony behind Mohan Vatika police station Thatipur Gwalior
(4) Arun alias Annu son of Bhagwan Singh Jatav resident of New Mehra Colony Thana Thatipur Gwalior
(5) Narendra son of Omprakash Jatav resident of Futi Colony Sirol Gwalior
As per information provided by the arrested accused, one of his associates is a juvenile offender and the other is a buyer of gold and silver, Atul Soni son of Vijay Soni resident of Shivaji Nagar Gwalior.
Weapons recovered:- One 315 bore country made pistol with one live round, two bamboo sticks, one iron rod, one iron crowbar, two packets of red chilli powder and 05 face covering clothes, stolen gold and silver jewellery worth about 12 lakh rupees and iPhones, three mobiles and household goods and motorcycle worth about 04 lakh rupees purchased from the stolen money have been confiscated.
