K. R. Mangalam University Witnesses Conferment of 1,842 Degrees and 154 Medals
Gurugram: K. R. Mangalam University, Gurugram successfully held its 7th Convocation Ceremony at its Sohna Road campus on Sunday, 22 March 2026, celebrating the academic achievements of 1,842 graduating students.
The convocation was graced by the Hon’ble Chairman of National Board of Accreditation (NBA), National Educational Technology Forum (NETF) and Former Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe Ji, who attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest and delivered the Convocation Address, inspiring students to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.
Addressing the graduates, Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe emphasised the importance of being lifelong learners and staying updated in a rapidly evolving world. He encouraged students to remain self-driven and aware of emerging opportunities across diverse job sectors. He highlighted that success demands hard work, passion, and dedication of both heart and mind, assuring students that consistent effort will ultimately lead to success. He also spoke about India’s growth trajectory, stating that the youth carry a significant responsibility in transforming India into a developed nation within the next 30 years and positioning it among the world’s leading economies in the next 10 to 15 years. He further stressed the importance of leveraging emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to stay competitive and innovative. He concluded by congratulating all graduating students on their achievement.
Distinguished personalities namely 1. Dr. Brajesh Pandey (Executive Director, INSA) 2. Prof. Ar. Abhay Vinayak Purohit (President, Council of Architecture, India) were also present as Guests of Honour, adding to the significance of the occasion.
During the ceremony, the University conferred a total of 1,842 degrees, including 1,238 undergraduate degrees, 474 postgraduate degrees, 67 diploma degrees, and 63 Ph.D. degrees across various disciplines. The University also recognised academic excellence by awarding a total of 154 medals, including 52 Gold Medals, 51 Silver Medals, and 51 Bronze Medals, to meritorious students for their outstanding academic performance.
Among the graduating students, 775 were female and 1,067 were male, reflecting the University’s diverse and inclusive academic environment.
In his inspiring video message, Shri Om Birla, Hon’ble Speaker of the Lok Sabha, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduating students of K.R. Mangalam University on the occasion of its 7th Convocation. He emphasized that education is not merely the acquisition of degrees but a lifelong journey of learning, responsibility, and nation-building. Highlighting the
 
 
 
vision of a “Viksit Bharat 2047,” he encouraged students to become catalysts of change by embracing innovation, ethical values, and social commitment. He further urged the young graduates to contribute meaningfully to society, uphold integrity in their professional pursuits, and leverage their knowledge and skills for the progress of the nation. His message served as a powerful reminder that today’s youth are the architects of tomorrow’s India.
 
On this occasion, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Raghuvir Singh of K. R. Mangalam University presented the annual report, highlighting key achievements, academic advancements, and initiatives aligned with
the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. In his address, he advised students to remain honest and grounded in life while navigating an increasingly complex world shaped by Artificial Intelligence and shifting global geopolitics. He emphasised that learning should be continuous, stating that a degree is not an endpoint but the beginning of a lifelong journey of exploration. He urged students to uphold integrity and to compete with a sense of responsibility and care.
In his address, the Hon’ble Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Singh encouraged students to embrace their new journey with confidence and resilience. He highlighted that while academic degrees are important, true success depends on acquiring essential life skills, values, and attributes beyond formal education. He urged students to reflect on their own definition of success and to face challenges with strength, positivity, and determination.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by the Registrar, Dr. Rahul Sharma, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, university leadership, faculty, staff, parents, and students for making the occasion a grand success. He congratulated the graduates and wished them success in all their future endeavours.
The ceremony featured the traditional academic procession, National Song, conferment of degrees, medals, convocation oath, and the convocation address by the Chief Guest. The ceremony concluded on a celebratory note, marking a proud and memorable milestone for the graduates.
