Manish Mahor Datia - A one-day workshop on Neglected Tropical Diseases was jointly organized by the Department of Community Medicine and District Hospital at Government Medical College Datia.

Dr Devendra Singh Tomar, MP State Coordinator of World Health Organization was present as the keynote speaker in the workshop. Dr Tomar said in his lecture that due to lack of awareness and non-consumption of medicines for Filariasis among the general public, this disease has not been eradicated from our country yet. Dr Tomar said that if 65 percent of the people in the affected area consume the medicine for Filariasis properly, then it is possible to eradicate this disease in five years.

More than 30 doctors including Community Medicine Department Head Dr Pradeep Shukla, Dr Adhikari, Dr Manohar Bhatia, District Malaria Officer Dr Jayant Yadav participated in the workshop.
