Prestige Management and Research Institute Gwalior's Prestige NSS unit distributed paper bags today on 30.9.2024 in an awareness campaign to stop the use of plastic. The objective of this program was to create awareness among the people to stop the use of plastic and to cooperate in the government's campaign to completely ban plastic. Institute Director Dr. Nishant Joshi said that the government has launched a plastic free campaign all over India in which volunteers of our institute's NSS unit are participating and the main objective of today's program is to create awareness to not use plastic and he told that by rejecting plastic bags, plastic-covered goods, we can save our society and environment from getting polluted.

Co-Director of the Institute, Dr. Tarika Singh Sikarwar said that Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan is a commendable step of the government through which people of the society will become aware and will keep themselves and the environment clean and she also told that the NSS unit of our institute is participating in this campaign with great enthusiasm and has successfully completed many programs like distribution of paper bags and she also encouraged all the NSS volunteers to work with devotion towards the society.

During this program, more than 50 volunteers of Prestige NSS unit were present and they distributed paper bags to vegetable sellers, flower sellers and shopkeepers in the vegetable market of Pintu Park and made them aware to not use plastic.

The coordinator of this program, Program Officer of Prestige NSS unit Abil Hussain and other program officer Tanya Mathur were also present.
