A 2.6 km long flyover is going to be built from Shinde's cantonment to mental health center in Gwalior, the construction work of which is likely to start from October. The Public Works Department (PWD) has made a complete plan of this project, which will provide great relief to the city residents from the heavy traffic jams that occur daily.

The flyover will be connected to Urvai Gate and the fort, which will ease the traffic system in this area. This new route will provide an alternative and faster way to reach the fort, avoiding the narrow roads and traffic of the main market.

This flyover will prove to be important to reduce the daily traffic jams on the narrow roads between Ramdas Valley and Shinde's cantonment. Apart from this, during VIP arrival, there will be no need to stop the traffic to reach the Gurudwara, Scindia School and the Fort, due to which the movement of common people will also not be affected.
