Cyber Cell Gwalior found 301 mobiles worth Rs. 60 lakh 20 thousand in one month.
Gwalior Police Cyber ??Cell took action on the complaints received in the month of August through CEIR-PORTAL operated by the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India, and traced and found 301 lost mobiles.
Superintendent of Police Gwalior Mr. Rakesh Kumar Sagar (IPS) is receiving applications related to lost mobiles every day. On which Superintendent of Police Gwalior directed Additional Superintendent of Police City (East/Crime/Traffic) Mr. Shiaz K.M. (IPS) to get the said mobiles traced by the team of Cyber ??Cell Gwalior and recover them immediately.
In compliance with the instructions of senior officers, under the guidance of ASP Crime Mr. Ayush Gupta (Bapu Se) and DSP Crime Mr. Nagendra Singh Sikarwar, the team of Cyber ??Cell was deployed to take action on the applications received regarding missing of mobile by Police Station Incharge Crime Inspector Mr. Ajay Singh Panwar and Incharge Cyber ??Cell Uni. Mrs. Rajni Singh Raghuvanshi. Taking immediate action on the said applications, the Cyber ??Cell team traced and recovered 301 mobiles of various companies through CEIR-PORTAL. The Cyber ??Cell team recovered 301 mobiles worth about Rs 60 lakh 20 thousand in the month of August 2024, which are of companies like Apple, Oppo, OnePlus, Samsung, Vivo, Poco, Techno, Redmi, Realme, MI etc. The said mobiles were handed over to the mobile owners by the senior officers of Gwalior Police and the team of Cyber ??Cell. All the above mentioned mobiles were recovered by tracing them from various districts of Madhya Pradesh and Gwalior Chambal region including Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh etc. The mobile holders who had lost their mobiles included common citizens, housewives, students, vegetable sellers, businessmen, drivers, labourers, teachers etc. On getting their mobiles back, smiles returned on the faces of all the mobile holders. All the mobile owners thanked the police officers and the team of cyber cell on getting their mobiles back. Superintendent of Police Gwalior has announced to reward the team of cyber cell for the above mentioned commendable work.
Appeal to the general public:- If any person finds a mobile phone in an unclaimed condition, then instead of using it, deposit it in the cyber cell of Superintendent of Police office Gwalior located in City Center, it is legally wrong for any person to use a mobile phone found in an unclaimed condition, hence deposit such mobile phones immediately in the cyber cell. The person who shows honesty by depositing the mobile phone will be honored by the Superintendent of Police.
Information for the general public:- With the help of CEIR-PORTAL of the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, any person can block his stolen or lost mobile and after registering a complaint of lost or stolen mobile in the portal, the police can easily find the mobile through this portal. By using this portal, no one will be able to misuse your mobile phone. Through this, Gwalior Police has found more than 1200 lost mobiles in the last six months and returned them to the applicants.
Commendable role:- In finding the said mobiles, the in-charge cyber cell sub-inspector Mrs. Rajni Singh Raghuvanshi, SI Vishwavir Singh Jat, PR Sanjay Singh Jadoun, constable Jainendra Gurjar, Kapil Pathak, Sonu Prajapati, Shivkumar Yadav, Pradeep Yadav, Ashish Sharma, Devesh Sharma, played a commendable role.
CEIR Portal:- Complaint of stolen or lost mobile can be made online through CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) portal. By blocking the mobile with the help of CEIR, no one will be able to misuse it and if any person changes the SIM card of the mobile and uses the mobile by putting another SIM then the police will get the information and the police will find the mobile easily. If someone's mobile is lost or stolen, then register a report of it at the nearest police station and then go to the CEIR portal (www.ceir.gov.in) and block the IMEI number of the mobile so that if someone uses the lost or stolen mobile by putting a new SIM card, the police will get the information through the portal.
