Cyber Cell Gwalior found 301 mobiles worth 60 lakh 20 thousand rupees in a month.

Cyber ??Cell of Gwalior Police traced 301 missing mobiles while acting on the complaints received in the month of August through CEIR-PORTAL operated by Department of Telecommunication, Ministry of Communications, Government of India.

Superintendent of Police Gwalior Shri Rakesh Kumar Sagar (Bhapuse) is receiving applications regarding missing mobiles every day. Whereupon the Superintendent of Police Gwalior directed the Additional Superintendent of Police City (East/Crime/Traffic) Shri Shiaz KM (Bhapuse) to trace the said mobiles with the team of Cyber ??Cell Gwalior and recover them promptly.

In compliance with the instructions of the senior officers, under the guidance of ASP Crime Mr. Ayush Gupta (Bhapuse) and DSP Crime Mr. Nagendra Singh Sikarwar, Police Station In-charge Crime Inspector Mr. Ajay Singh Panwar and In-charge Cyber ??Cell Uni0 Mrs. Rajni Singh Raghuvanshi on the applications received regarding loss of mobile. A cyber cell team has been appointed to take action. 301 mobiles of various companies were traced and recovered through CEIR-PORTAL while acting on the said applications promptly by Cyber ??Cell Team. In the month of August 2024, the Cyber ??Cell team recovered 301 mobile phones worth around 60 lakh 20 thousand rupees which belong to companies like Apple, Oppo, OnePlus, Samsung, Vivo, Poco, Techno, Redmi, Realme, Mi etc. The said mobiles were handed over to the mobile owners by the senior officers of Gwalior Police and the Cyber ??Cell team. All the said mobiles were traced and recovered from different states of Madhya Pradesh and Gwalior Chambal zone including Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh etc. Among those whose mobiles were lost were ordinary citizens, housewives, students, vegetable sellers, traders, drivers, laborers, teachers etc. After getting the mobile back, the smile returned on the face of all the mobile holders. All the mobile owners thanked the police officers and cyber cell team for getting back the mobiles. Superintendent of Police Gwalior has announced to reward the Cyber ??Cell team for the said commendable work.

Appeal to the public:- If a person finds a mobile phone in an abandoned condition, then do not use it and deposit it in the cyber cell of the Superintendent of Police, Gwalior, located in the city center. It is illegal for any person to use a mobile phone found in an abandoned condition. Therefore, deposit such mobile phones in cyber cell immediately. The person who shows honesty by depositing the mobile phone will be honored by the Superintendent of Police.

Notice to the public:- With the help of the CEIR-PORTAL of the Government of India Department of Telecommunications, any person can block his stolen or lost mobile and after filing a complaint of lost or stolen mobile in the portal, the police through this portal. Mobile can be easily traced. By using this portal, no one will be able to misuse your mobile phone. Through this, Gwalior Police has found more than 1200 lost mobiles and returned them to the applicants in the last six months.

Appreciable Role:- Cyber ??Cell Deputy Inspector Mrs. Rajni Singh Raghuvanshi in charge of finding the said mobiles, Mr. Vishvir Singh Jat, P.R. Sanjay Singh Jadoun, Constable Jainendra Gurjar, Kapil Pathak, Sonu Prajapati, Shivkumar Yadav, Pradeep Yadav, Ashish Sharma, Devesh Sharma , had a commendable role.

CEIR Portal:- One can lodge complaints of stolen or lost mobiles online through CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) portal. By blocking the mobile with the help of CEIR, no one will be able to misuse it and if a person uses the mobile by changing the SIM card of the mobile with another SIM, then his information will be available to the police and the police will easily find the mobile. If the mobile is lost or stolen then file a report at the nearest police station and then visit the CEIR portal (www.ceir.gov.in) to block the IMEI number of the mobile so that no one can trace the lost or stolen mobile. If you insert the SIM and use it, the police will get a notification through the portal.
