Judges and officers - employees cleaned the premises holding brooms in their hands.
On the instructions of the Ministry of Law and Legislative Affairs, Government of India and the Hon'ble High Court, the campus cleanliness program was held on the theme of "Swabhaav Swachhata-Sanskar Swachhata".
Instructions have been provided to organize cleanliness activities under the Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada from 14 September 2024 to 01 October 2024 on the occasion of Swachh Bharat Day to be celebrated on Mahatma Gandhi's birthday on 02 October from the Ministry of Law and Legislative Affairs, Government of India and the Hon'ble High Court under the theme "Swabhaav Swachhata - Sanskar Swachhata (4S)" 2024 of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM). For the implementation of which, under the Swachhata Hi Seva fortnight, a cleanliness campaign was conducted in the new district court premises Gwalior on 28/09/2024 under the leadership of Chief District and Sessions Judge Shri PC Gupta. In which Principal District Judge Mr. PC Gupta, Special Judge Mr. Pramod Kumar Singh, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Mr. Ashish Dwande, Chief Judicial Magistrate Mr. Nitin Kumar Mujalda, District Registrar Mr. Amit Malviya, Municipal Corporation Magistrate Mr. Dharm Kumar along with all the judges of the district headquarters, District Legal Aid Officer, Administrative Officer, System Officer, Employees Union President, District Court and District Legal Services Authority employees cleaned the premises with brooms in their hands and collected the garbage and put it in the Municipal Corporation vehicle.
Principal District and Sessions Judge Mr. PC Gupta expressed on this occasion that the objective of this initiative is to promote permanent behavioral change, integrate cleanliness in daily habits and inspire change towards promoting public participation in maintaining a clean and healthy environment. Keeping the new district court premises clean is not only the responsibility of the judges. But this is also a special responsibility on the advocates, employees and parties. Every possible effort is being made to make the new court a clean campus. Also, tobacco products have been banned in the district court and if anyone is found using tobacco products in the court premises, a fine is being imposed under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003 (COTPA Act).
After the program, the judges and employees took a pledge to incorporate cleanliness in their nature and keep the court premises clean.
