? A joint committee of Indore Police and Administration has been formed for security and arrangements at tourist places.
Indore- Date 27 September 2024- Keeping in mind the safety of tourists (especially the safety of women) and their facilities at tourist places, today on the occasion of World Tourism Day, Indore Police organized a meeting with various travel agents and women tourists of the city at Police Commissioner Office Palasia Indore on 27.09.24.
In the said meeting, in the special presence of Police Commissioner Urban Indore Shri Rakesh Gupta, Additional Commissioner of Police (O./P.) Indore Shri Amit Singh, Additional. Police Commissioner (Crime/Headquarters) Indore Mr Manoj Kumar Srivastava, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Mr Jagdish Dawar, Additional Collector Indore Mrs Jyoti Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Mrs Seema Alawa, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Security) Mr Pramod Sonkar and other police officers, Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Chapter Chairman Mr Hemendra Singh Jadoun and other officials including various travel agents of the city and many women tourists going on solo tourism were also present.
In the meeting, various points were discussed about the safety of women tourists at tourist places to promote tourism by everyone. In this meeting, TAAI (MP&CG) Chairman Shri Hemendra Singh Jadoun and women agents and women tourists informed about the safety of women travelling alone, what problems arise and what and how to do to solve them, etc. and said that women should travel only through certified or famous travel agents while going on tourism, and should also keep these things in mind while taking hotel and vehicle services.
On this occasion, Police Commissioner Shri Rakesh Gupta told everyone that the safety of tourists is our primary responsibility, for which the police constantly take care of the security arrangements at tourist places. Women who visit tourist places alone or in groups were also told about some things to keep in mind that whenever they go anywhere, they should keep information about that place themselves and also tell their family members, if they use a private vehicle then take a photo of it and send it to their family members, also give them information about your location etc., if any problem arises then contact the police on dial-100 or the number of the nearest police station.
He also said that keeping security in mind, an app is being made for immediate contact with police personnel and officers on duty by Indore Police late at night. This will help provide immediate police assistance on problems related to women's security even at night. This app will also be helpful for women tourists visiting the city.
To promote tourism in Indore, keeping in mind the safety of tourists (especially the safety of women) and their facilities at tourist places, a joint committee of Indore Police and Administration has been formed. Whose nodal officer is Additional Collector Indore Mrs. Jyoti Sharma.
Mrs. Jyoti Sharma informed that keeping in mind the safety and facilities of tourists at various tourist places and in the city, the said committee of Indore Police and Administration will prepare an action plan and discuss it with multiple institutions and organizations working in this field and work on the problems and suggestions in the future.
