Today in the Police Control Room Auditorium, Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone Gwalior Shri Arvind Saxena, IPS and Deputy Inspector General of Police Gwalior Range Gwalior Shri Amit Sanghi, IPS held a review meeting of all the station incharges of Gwalior district regarding serious crimes, blind murders and pending crimes of robbery. In the review meeting, IG Gwalior Shri Arvind Saxena, IPS told the police station in-charges present that they should take effective action under zero tolerance against gambling, betting and illegal liquor smuggling in their police station areas and gazetted officers should visit their police station areas in the evening with the police station in-charge and police force and conduct effective vehicle checking. In the meeting, IG Gwalior told the police station in-charges that the problem of the victim coming to the police station should be heard patiently and his problem should be resolved so that he does not have to wander. He said that all the police station in-charges should identify such points in their area where there is a high possibility of robbery and checking should be done at such places and all the police station in-charges should send the force for patrol only after briefing them. IG Gwalior told the gazetted officers present in the meeting that they should visit their subordinate police stations from time to time and check the lockups and keep the CCTV cameras in working condition. In the review meeting, the station in-charges were instructed to take action to cancel as many bails as possible of habitual criminals who have committed two or more crimes and also directed the station in-charges to resolve the pending complaints in the CM helpline.
Keeping in view the upcoming festival, IG Gwalior instructed the station in-charges to collect information about the pandals of the idols of the mother goddess to be set up in their area during the Durga festival and by holding a meeting with the pandal organizers, they will get information about the size of the idols to be kept in the pandals and the route of their immersion and their immersion place and ensure that the barricades are properly installed at the places in the city where the big Ravana is burnt during Dussehra. IG Gwalior gave clear instructions to all the station in-charges that they should be present in the police station or field by 12 o'clock at night. In the meeting, IG Gwalior said that from 03.10.2024 to 12.10.2024, programs will be organized in all the police station areas of the district under the "Mai Hoon Abhimanyu" campaign. In which the general public will be made aware of crimes related to women, new laws, education. In the meeting, IG Gwalior told the station in-charges present that to keep the traffic system of the police station area strong, they should cooperate in keeping the traffic system well organized by establishing coordination with the traffic police.
DIG Gwalior Mr. Amit Sanghi, IPS introduced himself to the police officers present before the crime review meeting. DIG Gwalior reviewed the pending blind murder and robbery cases of all the station in-charges in the meeting station-wise and got to know the clear reason for their pending and directed for their early resolution. He also directed the station in-charges to regularly review the pending crimes at the police station level and said that the pending crimes should be taken out within the time limit and the challan should be presented in the court. At the end of the meeting, DIG Gwalior took information regarding law and order during the cricket match to be held on 6 October in the district and the upcoming Durga festival and gave necessary guidelines.
