Two new teams join Lloyd Delhi Golf Club League, now 24 teams will clash.

This time two new teams have entered the fourth edition of 'The Lloyd Delhi Golf Club League'. These teams are 'Sudhir Power' and 'Victorious Choice', with their joining the number of teams in the league has increased to 24. This prestigious league will start on October 3, 2024, at the historic Delhi Golf Club and its final will be played on October 26.

The league started in 2021.

The first edition of the league started in 2021, in which 18 teams participated. 20 teams participated in the 2022 edition, and in 2023 this number reached 22. With the addition of new teams this year, this league has become even more exciting. Last year, the league was won by 'Christy Golf', while 'The A-Team' in 2022 and 'Deutsche Motoren in 2021 became the winners.

A total of 456 players will participate.

The league will have 24 teams and each team will have 19 players, making a total of 456 players participating in this league. This league provides equal opportunities for players of all age groups and categories. It will include juniors, women, seniors and regular golfers. The new handicap system has also been implemented so that all teams have an equal chance to win.

The league format will be like this.

The format of the league will be 'four-ball better-ball matchplay' and it will be played in two stages—round-robin and knockout. In the first stage, each team will compete with six pairs (a total of 12 players), where every pair will play against a pair of the other team. The winning team will get points and the top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals. The knockout stage will feature matches between seven pairs (14 players) and the final will be played on October 26.

Support of talented golfers

The league also features some of the top golfers, including former national champions and Arjuna Award winners Nonita Lal Qureshi and Amit Luthra. Apart from this, Vikramjit Singh, Ashok Malik, Gaurav Ghai, Vivek Bhandari and top coaches like Amandeep Jaul, Chirag Kumar, Jasjit Singh, and other experienced golfers are also part of the league.
