The Meghnagar Catholic Community celebrated its 150th anniversary in a solemn atmosphere.

At St. Arnold Church, Meghnagar, the small church community celebrated the 2025 Jubilee of the Catholic Church and the 150th anniversary of the Congregation of the Divine Word (SVD) with devotion and dignity. The main priest of the liturgy was Father Maria Paul, Provincial Superior of the SVD, who offered prayers and thanked God for strengthening unity, brotherhood, peace, and family ties in the community. Cultural programs included plays, dances, and group songs based on Bible and Christian values.

In his address, Bishop Peter Kharadi of the Catholic Diocese, the chief guest, highlighted the role of small Christian groups in strengthening families and encouraged the creation of good families and a harmonious society. Father Maria Paul, Secretary Father Sylvester Meda, Father Peter Katara, and Father Cajetan D'Mello addressed the congregation in the area. All the works done by V.D. Sanstha in the field of education, medicine and social service during its 92 years of existence were appreciated. Sisters, office bearers of all the associations, members and people of the society participated with great devotion in the worship ceremony and cultural program. Parish priest Father Jomon James welcomed everyone, Father Andrews Lobu expressed his gratitude. The program was successfully conducted by the youth of Meghnagar Church.
