ONE DESPERATE CRIMINAL WANTED IN BRUTAL MURDER CASE OF PS NARELA, ARRESTED BY THE CRIME BRANCH, NDR

A dedicated team of Crime Branch, RK Puram led by Insp. Rampal along with the staff SI’s Amit, Hemant Kumar, Parmod, Mukesh Singh ASI’s Siddharth, Ramdas, Ankit, Ombir, Narender, Sanjay, Amit Gulia, Amit HC’s Dharmender, Ashish and Ct’s Tejpal, Gaurav under the supervision of Sh. Umesh Barthwal ACP/NDR has successfully apprehended one desperate criminal namely Ajay @ Akshay Khatri r/o Safiabad, Haryana, who was wanted in brutal murder case registered vide case FIR No. 888/2024 dated

21.12.2024 u/s 103(1)/3(5) BNS at PS Narela.

The said accused is a habitual offender and has a criminal history involving cases of armed robbery and motor vehicle theft.

BRIEF FACTS OF CASE :-

On the evening of 20.12.2024, complainant Satya Prakash reported that while he was present at his residence in Narela with his friend Himanshu, four assailants Ajay @ Akshay, Ravi @ Kaidi, Ashish, and Sahil forcefully entered his house and launched a deadly assault on Himanshu using knives and batons. As a result the victim suffered grievous injuries and succumbed to death on the spot. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 888/2024 dated 21.12.2024 u/s 103(1)/3(5) BNS was registered at PS Narela, Delhi. During course of investigation, co-accused Ravi @ Kaidi, Ashish, and Sahil have been arrested. However, the main kingpin Ajay @ Akshay Khatri remained absconding and was continuously evading arrest.

INFORMATION & OPERATION:

During sustained efforts, specific information was received regarding the presence of wanted accused Ajay @ Akshay Khatri in the Delhi-NCR region. It was also confirmed that a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) had been issued against him by the Hon’ble Court. Acting swiftly on this input, a dedicated police team was dispatched to trace and apprehend the accused.

Due to the persistent and meticulous efforts of the team, a significant breakthrough was achieved on 25/07/2025, when the wanted accused Ajay @ Akshay Khatri was successfully traced near Safiabad More, Narela, Delhi. The raiding team swiftly overpowered the suspect without allowing him a chance to flee.

Profile of Accused:-

Accused Ajay @ Akshay Khatri, aged 23 years, is a resident of Safiabad, Haryana. He studied up to the 8th standard in his village. Ajay fell into bad company during his teenage years and gradually became addicted to substance abuse, particularly drugs. In the year 2023, in order to fund his addiction and for quick monetary gain, he committed a robbery in the Narela area along with a friend. He was arrested in that case and later released on bail.

In 2024, along with his associates Ravi @ Kaidi, Ashish, and Sahil, Ajay forcefully entered the house of a mutual friend named Sumit, where the victim Himanshu was also present. The group consumed alcohol at the location. Motivated by a prior enmity with Himanshu, the accused persons launched a brutal assault using knives and batons, leading to the victim's death on the spot.

While his co-accused Ravi @ Kaidi, Ashish, and Sahil were arrested shortly after the incident, Ajay @ Akshay Khatri remained absconding and evaded arrest for a significant duration.

Further legal proceedings are under way.
