Gyan Panchami was celebrated with austerity and chanting.

On Sunday, the Gyan Panchami worship festival was celebrated with austerity and chanting under the sacred guidance of Pujya Sadhviji Bhagwant Shri Ratnarekha Shri Ji M.S.A., Adi Thana 3, who resides at the local Jain pilgrimage site, Shri Rishabhdev Bawan Jinalaya.

On this occasion, more than 125 monks and nuns performed the rituals of fasting, Aayambil Ekashana, and other austerities, along with worshipping the deity of knowledge. Senior Sangh member Ashok Kataria reported that, as Gyan Panchami was celebrated today, the Jinalaya was crowded with devotees since morning for darshan, worship, and worship.

The Vasakshep Puja of Knowledge was performed and Aarti was performed.

Pujya Sadhviji Bhagwant began the worship of knowledge at 9 a.m. with special chanting, beginning with the Vasakshep Puja in front of books and scriptures of specific knowledge. The Vaskshepa Puja was performed by Mrs. Bindu Yashwant Bhandari's family. The Vadhamana of knowledge was performed by Ritesh Babulal Kothari's family, who performed the selection with precious gems like gold, silver, etc., with special chanting of mantras. After this, the Aarti of knowledge was performed by Shardul Kumar and the Jinansh Nikhil Bhandari family.

The ritual of worshipping the deity was performed by offering 51 Khamasamanas.

The ritual of worshipping the deity was started by Pujya Sadhvi Ji Bhagwant at 9:30 am. She completed the ritual by offering 28, 14, 6, 2, and 1 rounds of the five types of knowledge, respectively. Finally, the Kausagga of 51 Logos was performed. The ritual took over 2 hours. The program was conducted by Shri Sangh President Sanjay Mehta.

"First knowledge, then action" - Respected Sadhvi Shri

Respected Sadhviji Bhagwant, while explaining the importance of knowledge, said, "Padhamam naanam tao daya" (Compassion comes first, followed by knowledge). When a person acquires knowledge, he can properly perform religious activities and follow the path of religion, therefore, knowledge is essential first. Recounting the memories of Gurudev, she said that revered Acharyadev Shri Hemendra Surishwar Ji M.S. Ji observed fasting and penance on every Panchami (five days) till the age of 92. Inspired by revered Sadhvi Ji, many monks and nuns adopted the practice of performing Aayambil penance on the fifth day of every month.
