TEAM OF SPECIAL STAFF, CENTRAL DISTRICT ARRESTED 8 PERSONS WITH RECOVERY OF RS 51,33,930/- CASH, 07 MOBILE PHONES, TOTAL 2290 CASINO COINS, 03 CASH COUNTING MACHINES, 175 DECKS OF PLAYING CARDS.

 

 

 

 

On 14.09.2024, secret information was received by Spl. Staff/Central District regarding gambling with Hugh stakes at New Rajinder Nagar, Delhi. Based on the information received, a team of Special Staff was constituted led by Inspr Rohit Kumar I/C Special Staff, Central District comprising ASI Sanjeev, ASI Yajurvander, ASI Pramod, HC Munesh Sharma, HC Amarjeet, HC Amit, HC Sachin, HC Dhiraj, HC Sheotaj and CT Anil under the overall supervision of Sh Suresh Khunga, ACP/Operations Central District was constituted to nab the gamblers. 

 

In furtherance of the information extracted from secret informers, the team along with informer laid a trap near in New Rajinder Nagar, Delhi. After some time, the team observed some activities near the location. The team further kept close eye on it and after confirming the raid was conducted and team apprehended 08 persons from the property in New Rajinder Nagar, Delhi. 

Upon questioning, they disclosed their name and address as Sanjeev Kumar R/o  Patparganj, New Delhi, Age-56 years, Fazlu Rehman R/o Abul Fazal Enclave, Jamia Enclave, New Delhi, Age-53 years, Sanjay Chaudhary R/o Chhota Bazar, Shahdara, Delhi, Age-42 years, Afsar R/o Trilokpuri, Delhi, Age-27 years, Manmohan Prasad R/o Trilokpuri, Delhi, Age-31 years, Devender Kumar R/o Pahari Dheeraj, Sadar Bazar, Delhi, Age-43 years, Mohd. Imran R/o Trilokpuri, Delhi, Age-28 years and Narinder Nijhawan R/o New Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi, Age-66 years (property owner) and all the accused confessed their involvement in gambling racket. Accused Sanjeev Kumar disclosed that they were playing a gambling game called “Mang Patta” where participants placed high-stakes bets. 

On checking, total cash Rs 51,33,930/-, 2290 Casino Coins with a total value of Rs 91,60,000/-, 07 Mobile Phones, 3 High-end cash counting machines, 175 Decks of Playing Cards were recovered from the spot. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 184/2024, dated 15.09.24 U/s 3/4 Delhi Public Gambling Act 1955, PS Rajinder Nagar, Delhi was registered and 08 accused persons were apprehended.

5. Manmohan Prasad R/o Ambedkar Camp, Trilokpuri, Delhi, Age-31 years.

6. Devender Kumar R/o Gali Lotan Jat, Pahari Dheeraj, Sadar Bazar, Delhi, Age-43 years.

7. Mohd. Imran R/o Trilokpuri, Delhi, Age-28 years.

8. Narinder Nijhawan R/o New Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi, Age-66 years (property owner/organizer/kingpin).
