Devotees took a pledge to protect the environment at Brahma Kumaris Center

Gulshan Paruthi – Gwalior

Today, a program was organized on World Environment Day at Prabhu Uphaar Bhawan in Madhavganj by the Agriculture and Rural Development Division of Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation, an associate organization of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. Which was held under the theme Beat Plastic Pollution.

At the beginning of the program, Brahma Kumaris Lashkar Center Chief BK Adarsh ????Didi told everyone about World Environment Day and said that it is a global event celebrated every year on June 5, which was started by the United Nations with the aim of environmental protection, promotion and awareness. The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) was launched on June 5, 1972 in Nairobi, Kenya. The main objective of this day is to make citizens aware of pollution and environmental problems and to create public awareness to protect nature. With this objective, World Environment Day is organized every year on 5 June.

Many organizations are active in this direction. Brahma Kumaris is also included in this.

In view of the special efforts made to create awareness about the environment all over the world, Brahma Kumaris Institute has received observer status in UNEP as an NGO since the year 2014.

The "Agriculture and Rural Development Division" associated with this organization has been making many efforts for the protection and quality improvement of the environment across the country since the year 1995. Every year on World Environment Day, this organization organizes various programs, through which awareness about the environment is spread in the society.

These events include tree plantation, cleanliness campaign, workshops on pollution control, reduction in the use of single-use plastic, water and energy conservation, peace tours, exhibitions, competitions, seminars, dialogue on the subject of removing environmental pollution and honoring environmental activists etc. Activities. The aim of these efforts is not only to draw attention towards environmental problems but also to motivate the society to actively participate in finding their permanent solutions. Fighting plastic pollution is no longer an option but a necessity." This year's theme "Beat Plastic Pollution" calls on us to unite and work towards a plastic-free India. India generates about 15 million tons of plastic waste every year, of which only 10% is recycled. Plastic is a non-biodegradable material that not only pollutes land and water, but also has a deadly impact on aquatic life, animals and human health.

The use of plastic is causing diseases like cancer and is damaging soil fertility, drinking water quality and the ecosystem. It is therefore necessary that we change our daily habits, such as using cloth bags, boycotting single-use plastic and using reusable items.

This campaign can become a massive mass movement if we all put in efforts together. Let us adopt a pollution-free lifestyle and ensure a safe, clean and green environment for future generations.

"Our Earth, Our Future"

A reminder that Earth is the only support for life Earth is a place where essential elements like water, air, oxygen are available for life. But man's unethical activities and neglect towards nature have put the earth in trouble. Indiscriminate cutting of forests, pollution, global warming and excessive exploitation of natural resources are destroying the structure of the earth.

Due to these reasons, life on earth is becoming difficult and in the coming times, serious threats to human existence can arise. Therefore, we need to bring changes in our lifestyle in accordance with nature. It is our responsibility to protect the environment and spread public awareness at the global level in this direction, so that both our earth and future can remain safe.

A tree in the name of mother:

In Indian culture, the earth is considered mother, when we plant a tree, we do not just plant roots but we also plant culture, duty and future. Mother and nature are the embodiment of selfless love. Mother gives life and trees cherish life. This is a campaign of love, respect, honor, duty and loyalty to mother earth. The objective of promoting mother power and nature Every tree planted in honour of the mother who gave birth is a blessing. This initiative is a unique effort dedicated to environmental protection as well as to the mother power. Special plantation should be done in this campaign. This pious initiative is dedicated to awakening the spirit of motherhood. It will empower the whole country to move towards a greener future. Be a part of this campaign.

Come, take a step forward and plant a tree in the name of mother.

To make nature green, plant a tree in the name of mother.

In the program, more than 400 devotees associated with the institute including BK Dr. Gurcharan Singh, BK Pawan, BK Surabhi, BK Roshni, BK Jeetu were present.
