On the occasion of World Environment Day and Ganga Dussehra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged nationwide tree plantation efforts to combat the effects of climate change. Supporting this mission, BJP State General Secretary and MLA Randhir Savarkar called upon every citizen and party worker to actively participate in the “Maa Ke Naam Ek Ped” campaign planting a tree in memory of one’s mother. At a tree plantation drive held at Marathi School No. 15, Savarkar honored the memory of his late mother Nalini Tai Savarkar. The event saw the presence of dignitaries including Vijay Agrawal, Jayant Masane, Madhav Mankar, Vivek Bharane, Dr. Sunil Phokmare, and Municipal Deputy Commissioner Anil Bidwe. Savarkar emphasized that while the government can initiate such services, citizen participation is crucial for lasting environmental impact. He urged everyone to take responsibility for planting and nurturing trees in their localities to reduce rising temperatures.
