The traditional Cow Gohari festival, which has been prevalent since ancient times in the tribal community, was celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the district.

In this context, devotees who have made a vow to fall on the Cow Gohari festival celebrate it with devotion.

The Cow Gohari festival, celebrated after Diwali, is celebrated by devotees to fulfill their vows.

Before the Cow Gohari festival, villagers bathe, paint, and decorate cows and other animals, considering them their wealth.

After worshipping them, in the evening, young men bring cows from different households in groups to the Cow Gohari site.

Where a large crowd of onlookers is already present, devotees sit on the road with devotion, waiting for the herd of cows to pass over them.

Meanwhile, some villagers drive the herd of cows over the devotees, shouting and hurling firecrackers, and using fireworks.

In this manner, the organizing team crushes the devotees two to three times.

This unique tradition has become popular in various locations throughout the district since the rainy season.

In Meghnagar, Jhabua district, the festival of Gai Gohari was celebrated with enthusiasm at Azad Chowk. A large number of villagers were present.
