Legal Literacy and Awareness Camp organized for workers under NALSA (Legal Services for Workers in Unorganized Sector) Scheme-2015 on International Labor Day 01 May 2025

As per the instructions of State Legal Services Authority Jabalpur, under the guidance of Principal District Judge and Chairperson Mrs. Vidhi Saxena, a legal literacy and awareness camp was organized for workers at Krishna Faschem Private Limited Meghnagar Jhabua under NALSA (Legal Services for Workers in Unorganized Sector) Scheme-2015 on International Labor Day 01 May 2025.

The objective of this camp was to give information to the workers about the schemes run by National Legal Services Authority New Delhi and the laws related to workers.

Secretary of District Legal Services Authority Jhabua, Shiv Kumar Dawar, who was presiding over the camp, in his address wished all the workers a Happy International Labor Day and said that workers are the backbone of our country's economy. Protecting their rights and making justice accessible to them is our top priority. National Legal Services Authority is running many schemes like free legal aid, protection of wage rights, elimination of child labour, protection of women workers. It is necessary for every worker to know about these schemes so that they can be aware of their rights. He further said that if a worker does not get wages, is exploited at the workplace or needs any other kind of legal assistance, then he can contact District Legal Services Authority Jhabua or Tehsil Legal Services Committee Thandla/Petlawad. Our team will provide help promptly. Dawar gave detailed information about Minimum Wages Act, Wage Payment Act, Employee Compensation Act, Safety at Workplace and Factory Act, Free Legal Aid etc.

In the camp, LADCS advocate Vishwas Shah gave detailed information about the National Lok Adalat to be held on 10th May, free advocate for advocacy, NALSA toll free number 15100, Sarthak Portal etc. In the camp, District Coordinator from UNICEF Jimmy Nirmal also gave information about the schemes being run in the interest of laborers. In the camp, Sanjay Kalesh from Labor Department Jhabua shared detailed information about the schemes run by the Labor Department. Factory GS Manhar Jinwal, SR Manager Hemant Sharma, Production Manager Satish Panchal and hundreds of workers participated in the said camp and received useful information related to labor laws, safety at workplace and the process of free legal aid.
