Big idols will be immersed in Khurari reservoir.
In the meeting of the peace committee, it was informed that this year Sagartal has been cleaned and there is no water in it. Therefore, this time Khurari reservoir located in Murar has been designated for immersion of big idols of Lord Ganesha i.e. idols larger than two feet. For immersion of idols smaller than two feet, a temporary reservoir will be built near Huravali on the banks of Murar river. Along with this, idols smaller than two feet can also be immersed in the small pond located at the corner of Katorataal. To immerse Ganesh idols installed in homes, immersion vehicles run by the Municipal Corporation and public cooperation will roam around the city. Pure water will be kept in large tanks in these vehicles. Along with security arrangements at the immersion site of big idols, divers of SDRF will also be deployed. Members of the peace committee will also appeal to the people in their respective areas to immerse the idols with safety and caution.
