Police action against miscreants who opened fire at Gole Ka Mandir police station.

Police arrested another accused carrying a reward of Rs 10,000 from the bus stand who spread panic by firing indiscriminately in Pinto Park area.

A 315 bore country-made pistol with one live round used in the incident was seized from the arrested accused.

Three accused in the said case have already been arrested by the police.

Sandeep Shukla | Gwalior | Recently about half a dozen miscreants had spread panic in the area by firing indiscriminately at the house of complainant Saurabh Singh Tomar over an old dispute in Surya Vihar Colony Pinto Park under the temple area of police station Gola. On which a case of UPC 237/24 Section 147,148,149,307,294,427,506 IPC was registered against the accused in Gola Mandir police station and taken up for investigation. Taking the above incident seriously during the Lok Sabha general elections, Superintendent of Police, Gwalior, Shri Dharamveer Singh IPS has constituted police teams from Police Station Gola Ka Mandir for the speedy arrest of all the accused in the said case. arrest of the absconding accused, ten -A reward of ten thousand rupees was also announced.

On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gwalior, three absconding accused in the said case have already been arrested by the police teams. Today, on 07.05.2024, information was received through an informer that Sahil Mewati, an accused in the said case carrying a reward of Rs 10,000, was standing near Gwalior Bus Stand, Thatipur Road, waiting for a bus to go somewhere. The above information was informed to the Superintendent of Police Gwalior, on which the Superintendent of Police Gwalior issued an order to Addl. Superintendent of Police (Central) Shri Akhilesh Rainwal was directed to verify the informer’s information and the team of Gole Ka Mandir police station to nab the absconding criminals.

According to the instructions of senior officers, under the guidance of City Superintendent of Police Murar Mr. Rajeev Jangle, Police Station Incharge Gole Ka Mandir Inspector Rajkumar Sharma sent a team of the police force to Gwalior Bus Stand, the place mentioned by the informer, to catch the criminals with a reward. There, a suspicious person of similar appearance as described by the informer to the police team was seen standing there, who on seeing the police team tried to run away from the spot, but the said suspect was surrounded and caught by the police team. On interrogation, the arrested suspect revealed his name to be Sahil Khan alias Sahil Mewati, son of Habib Khan, resident of Mewati Mohalla police station, Bahodapur district, Gwalior. The accused caught during interrogation by the police told that on 03.05.2024, he along with his associates had opened fire at the house of complainant Saurabh Tomar and fled from the spot. Information about the criminal record of the accused arrested by the police is being collected. The above-mentioned accused, carrying a reward, was apprehended by the Police Station Gola Ka Mandir under Case No. 237/24 under Sections 147, 148, 149, 307, 294, 427, 506 IPC and was interrogated regarding his other accomplices and the illegal weapons used in the incident. On the testimony of the accused, a 315 bore gun used in the incident was recovered. The pistol was seized with one live round. Three accused in the said case have already been arrested by Gole Ka Mandir police station.
