Legal literacy camp organized at JB Mangharam Factory under Labor Day week.

Along with giving legal information, an oath to vote was also administered.

Gulshan Paruthi | Gwalior | As per the instructions of Principal District Judge and Chairman District Legal Services Authority Gwalior Shri PC Gupta, Workers Legal Services Week (01 to 04 May) is being organized on the occasion of International Workers’ Day. In this series, on Friday, under the guidance of Secretary District Legal Services Authority Mr. Ashish Dawande, under the joint aegis of District Legal Services Authority and Labor Department Gwalior, a legal literacy camp was organized under NALSA (Legal Services for Unorganized Sector Workers) Scheme-2015. Done in Mangharam Factory. On this occasion, along with giving information about legal schemes, the workers were given an oath to reach the polling station on May 7 and exercise their franchise. Besides, people were also asked to motivate their family members and acquaintances to vote.

District Legal Aid Officer Mr. Deepak Sharma informed on this occasion that workers have an important contribution in building any nation. Every worker, whether male or female, has been given equal rights by the Indian Constitution. A provision has been made to pay equal salary/wages to both for similar work. According to which, if salary is not received, an application can be submitted to the labor office. He provided detailed information regarding the Child and Adolescent Labor Prohibition Act, Free Legal Aid Scheme, NALSA Legal Services Scheme 2015 for workers in unorganized sectors and Sambal and Building and Other Construction Scheme run by the Labor Department for workers in unorganized sectors. Labor Inspector Shri Rahul Dohra informed the workers present regarding the provisions of Workmen’s Compensation Act 1923, Equal Remuneration Act and Minimum Wage Act.

On this occasion, Senior HR Officer of JB Mangaharam Factory Mr. Suresh Sharma, HR Manager Neeraj Pathak, Labor Welfare Officer Mr. Alok Mohanty, Mr. Dev Krishna Sikarwar from District Legal Services Authority and factory workers were present.
