The campaign to check passenger buses and school vehicles continues, as part of the campaign three school vehicles including a passenger bus

Indore Geetkar Damodar Virmal:- On the instructions of Collector Shri Ashish Singh, the Regional Transport Office Indore and Divisional Transport Security Squad Indore are continuously checking public transport vehicles, school vehicles and other vehicles. As part of the campaign being run for this, today the bus was seized for running without permit and fitness. Besides, a vehicle attached to schools and two school vans were also seized.
Regional Transport Officer Shri Pradeep Sharma said that under the campaign, fitness, permit, insurance, PUC, tax certificates of vehicles are also being checked. Overloading and excess fares in buses are also being investigated. Feedback is also being taken from the passengers regarding the speed of the vehicle and the behavior of the driver and conductor. People are also being motivated and advised to install HSRP number plates on their vehicles. Special checking of school vehicles is being done. In which documents including vehicle speed, speed governor are being checked. Feedback is also being taken from children and parents about the behavior of the driver and conductor. The checking process is continuing. In today’s checking, bus number MH-04-G-6786 was found running without permit and without fitness. Motor vehicle tax of Rs 1.50 lakh was also outstanding on this vehicle. This vehicle was found carrying passengers from Indore to Barotha (Dewas). This vehicle was confiscated. Action was also taken on buses of various schools. A school vehicle was also confiscated after it was found without fitness. Besides, 02 school vans were also seized.
