Gwalior Pavan Paruthi Superintendent of Police Gwalior Rajesh Singh Chandel IPS has directed the station in-charges to expose the incidents of robbery in Gwalior district and arrest the accused immediately. In the same sequence, on 25.02.2024, an unknown robber had snatched a gold chain from the neck of a woman standing outside her house in Harishankarpuram under Jhosi Road area. On which crime number 75/2024, Section 392 Bhadvi, 11,13 MPDPK Act was registered against the unknown robber in Jhansi Road police station and investigated. Taking the above robbery incident seriously, SP Gwalior has issued a special order. Superintendent of Police Gwalior City (East/Crime/Traffic) Shri Hrishikesh Meena, IPS and present in-charge Astt. Superintendent of Police Gwalior Akhilesh Renwal was directed to form a team from Jhosi Road police station and search for the accused of the robbery and arrest him.

In compliance with the instructions of senior officers, under the able guidance of CSP University Ms. Hina Khan, a team of Jhansi Road police station was deployed under the leadership of station in-charge Jhosi Road Inspector Harendra Sharma to search for and arrest the accused of the said robbery. When the police team checked hundreds of CCTV footage around the incident site and activated the informer system, the name and address of a suspect came to the knowledge of the police team, who was seen in Harishankarpuram on the date of the incident. During the investigation, on the basis of technical evidence and informer information, the police team caught the said suspect from Gudha Gudhi Ka Naka near his house and after interrogating the suspect, he first tried to mislead the police team. But upon thorough interrogation by the police team, the said suspect was said to have committed an incident of chain robbery with a woman on 25.02.2024. A gold chain worth about Rs 40,000, which was looted at the behest of the accused arrested by the police team, has been recovered. The accused, caught by Jhansi Road police station, has been arrested under crime number 75/2024, section 392 of the Indian Penal Code, 11,13 of the MPDPK Act and is being interrogated in connection with other incidents of robbery in the city.

Let it be known that on 25.02.2024, the complainant, resident of Harishankarpuram, Jhosi Road, had reported in the police station that she was standing at the gate outside her house at 07:45 in the evening, when a boy tied his face with a white cloth came to me and said that Colony Which one is it? I told him the name of the colony and suddenly he pounced on the gold chain around my neck, pushed me, snatched the gold chain and ran away. Based on the report of the complainant, a case of crime number 75/2024, Section 392 IPC, 11,13 MPDPK Act was registered against the unknown accused in Jhosi Road police station and taken up for investigation.

Seized Mashrooka:- One gold chain worth around Rs 40,000.
