Shri Modi said that projects worth crores of rupees will be inaugurated for Madhya Pradesh including Jhabua, Khargone, Alirajpur, Dhar, Barwani, funds released under Adarsh Gaon Yojana for the betterment of villages, big rail projects for better connectivity, Ratlam and Meghnagar railway stations. Development works like modernization of the Railways and giving Rs 1500-1500 in the accounts of two lakh sisters and daughters of the tribal society show that the double engine government is working double fast in Madhya Pradesh. The credit for this mega campaign of development goes to the public. Prime Minister Shri Modi announced Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University in the name of Tantya Mama. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met the tribal brothers in Gopalpura of tribal dominated area Jhabua. He visited the exhibition focused on development works. Prime Minister Shri Modi reached the stage accepting greetings from the tribal brothers at the huge Kumbh. In the program, Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Union Ministers Shri Arjun Munda and Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, former Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Ministers, Khajuraho MP Shri V.D. Sharma, National President of Tribal Morcha Shri Sameer Uram and public representatives were present.

On this occasion, a short film focusing on Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University was also screened. Respect and development of tribals is our guarantee. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that Madhya Pradesh is running fast on the path of development. Earlier it was counted among the sickest states of the country. The government of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee for the first time created a new ministry for tribal society and made special provision in the budget and gave priority to the development of tribal areas and tribal people.
Shri Modi said that the Central Government made a record increase in the minimum support price on forest produce. The forest produce covered under MSP was increased from 10 to 90. Van Dhan Kendras should be opened in the country so that tribal products can get new markets and new markets. Tribal society is the pride of the country and the guarantee of the country’s bright future. Respect and development of tribal people is our guarantee. It is the government’s resolve to make their dreams come true. Tribal children should not be left behind due to lack of education. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that the government has decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda as Tribal Pride Day. Martyrdom Day is celebrated today remembering the sacrifice of Tantya Mama and Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University is being announced in his name.
Remembering Tilka Manjhi, the pride of the tribal community, Shri Modi said that he had killed the Commissioner of Bhagalpur, Bihar with an arrow in 1784. Today is the birth anniversary of such a brave man. Higher education will be easier for the youth of Jhabua, Ratlam, Khargone, Dhar and surrounding areas. Eklavya residential schools are being started across the country for tribal students. It is not acceptable to the government that tribal children are left behind due to lack of education.

Prime Minister Shri Modi said that the tribal society has been earning its livelihood from forest resources for thousands of years. The previous government had put legal safeguards on the rights of tribal people. By making changes in the Forest Wealth Act, the Central Government has returned the rights related to forest land to the tribal communities. He said that sickle cell anemia was killing many people every year in tribal families. The Central Government started a campaign to eradicate sickle cell anemia. The result of the government’s commitment is that the tribal society is now in the process of development.
