While addressing the villagers in the camp, Judge Family Court Anish Kumar Mishra said that today we have attended the Mediation Awareness Camp among you and the Legal Literacy Camp organized under the “Samadhan Aapke Dwar” scheme. This camp is being organized to provide information about laws and justice system to the common citizens. Giving information on the topic of mediation, he said that mediation is an alternative dispute resolution process which helps people to resolve their disputes among themselves instead of going to court. It is a faster, cheaper and more effective way for people to resolve their disputes. ‘Mediation’ is a process in which both parties to a dispute find a mutually agreed solution with the help of a neutral third party. This process helps to avoid going to court and resolve the disputes permanently. The judge also provided information to the villagers on various subjects. In his address at the camp, Judicial Magistrate First Class Vijay Pal Singh Chauhan, while talking about drug eradication and poverty alleviation under NALSA scheme, said that drug eradication is an important social issue in today’s time.

Due to drug addiction, not only the individual but also his family and society are badly affected. Due to intoxication, a person’s health deteriorates, his efficiency decreases and he may also be inclined towards crime. Drug eradication and poverty alleviation are two issues that cannot be solved by government efforts alone. For this we all citizens will have to make joint efforts. We have to fight these unitedly and build a better society. I would like to urge all of you not to consume drugs. He also gave detailed information about the rights of tribals, senior citizens and laws related to women. Giving information about the “Samadhan Aapke Dwar” scheme organized by the guests at the camp on 24th February, he said that the objective of the Samadhan Aapke Dwar scheme is to provide justice to the people close to their homes. Under this scheme, Lok Adalat/camp will be organized at a certain place, where people can resolve their disputes. Under this scheme, you can get the cases of Revenue, Forest Department, Electricity Company, Court, Municipality and other matters like Aadhar Card, Ayushman Card, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Gas Connection, CM Helpline, Samagra ID etc. resolved on the basis of mutual settlement agreement.

Also, through pre-litigation, you can get such compoundable cases, which have not yet been presented in the court, resolved on the basis of mutual settlement agreement. In the camp, Legal Aid Defense Advocate Shivam Verma gave detailed information about various schemes like Legal Aid Defense System, free lawyer for advocacy, government’s public welfare schemes, Ayushman Card, Aadhaar Card etc. Village Sarpanch Rasiya Bhabhor, Village Secretary Chhatarsingh Bhabhor, Patwari Nanuram and a large number of villagers were present in this camp.
