Ajmer, Rajasthan (Rajesh Verma) The first group of elders from across the state including Jaipur will leave from Jagatpura Khatipura station on Thursday evening for the darshan of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya. The Devasthan Department is providing this opportunity to the elderly who have applied for the Ayodhya Circuit Scheme under the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme 2023.
According to departmental officials, the elderly selected in the lottery who had applied for other pilgrimage sites have also been called for the yatra. During the 5-day trip, the elders will be taken to visit the pilgrimage sites of Haridwar and Rishikesh along with the darshan of Ramlala of Ayodhya. Devasthan Department Minister Jora Ram Kumawat will flag off the train at 6 pm from Khatipura station at 5 pm.
All this will be free for pilgrims
According to Devasthan Department Jaipur Assistant Commissioner I Akash Ranjan, a temple has also been built in the train. In which elders will be able to do kirtan and worship.
A total of 970 passengers including other staff will leave from Jaipur, Ajmer division and other districts. The food, breakfast and accommodation arrangements for the passengers will be completely free.
