Jhabua (Rahim Sherani) Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being organized from December 16 to January 26. In the same sequence, a camp was organized under the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Gram Panchayat Mohanpura of District Panchayat Jhabua. District Collector Ms. Tanvi Hooda participated in the yatra. The Collector took information about the missing beneficiaries eligible under Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Yojana, and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and directed the officials of the concerned department to provide the benefits of the schemes. In the camp, the women associated with the self-help group narrated the change in their financial condition after joining the group under the title ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’. Kanu’s sister, a woman from village Mohanpura, told me that there are 10 women in her group, and they have benefited a lot by joining the group.
She has obtained a loan through the group and pays ₹ 100 per month as a loan. Kalibai Bhuria said that today she is doing various types of business with the help of a bank loan obtained through the group, including grocery shopping, farming, and buying bulls and buffaloes. She earns Rs 15 to Rs 20 thousand per month. The collector discussed the social problems with the villagers present and said that all of you should not allow child marriage in any way in the village. When one gets married at a young age, one has to face many problems, and it also impacts future generations.
In case of any kind of child marriage, you should inform number 100. I also advised the villagers to get sickle cell tests done before marriage and also directed the health department employees to ensure that sickle cell tests of everyone in the village and regular vaccination of children should be done.
