Jhabua (Rahim Sherani) A road safety awareness campaign was launched by Nehru Yuva Kendra Jhabua under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, under the guidance of District Youth Officer Swapnil Deshmukh on January 11, 2024, from Van Topani, Devjhiri Jhabua. Explaining the usefulness of the license, the District Transport Officer gave information to the volunteers about how to make a learning license and convert it into a permanent license, and the District Transport Officer also provided career guidance to the youth. District traffic in-charge Akhilesh Rai gave information about traffic rules, road accidents, the benefits of using seat belts in four-wheelers, and sign language.
The annual figures of road accidents due to negligence by the traffic in-charge were presented, which was surprising. Shri Rai said that most of the accidents occur due to not wearing a helmet, driving under the influence of alcohol, and overspeeding. All the youth were instructed to always wear helmets, not to drive after consuming alcohol, and to drive at low speeds. The program was conducted by P.G. Done and Dr. Pulkita Anand of the college. Dr. B.L. of the National Service Scheme was instrumental in successfully organizing the program. Rimi Yadav, Accounts and Program Assistant of Dabur Sir and Nehru Yuva Kendra Jhabua, played an important role. In which the National Service Scheme had an important contribution.
The traffic bridge played an important role in giving information to the youth in the program. The chief guests in the program were District Transport Officer Mrs. Krutika Mohta, Traffic Incharge Mr. Akhilesh Rai, Assistant Inspector Lokendra Khede, National Service Scheme Program Incharge Dr. Mukam Singh Chauhan, Dr. Billu Singh Damor, Dr. Jitendra Kaurav, and Dr. from Adarsh College.
