Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia urges Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for a Rs 10 crore financial assistance package at the Gwalior Trade Fair

Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia, Gwalior Trade Fair Traders Association, informed the Chief Minister of the State, Dr. Mohan Yadav ji, about the various problems and demands related to the fair on behalf of all the fair traders and tourists and appealed to the Honorable Chief Minister. A humble request was made to provide a special financial assistance package of Rs 10 crore to raise resources for the smooth organization of the Gwalior Trade Fair, the proud historical heritage of the family, and to make the fair authority financially self-reliant.

1. To make the Gwalior Fair Authority financially self-reliant, a special financial assistance package of Rs 10 crore should be given so that the Fair Authority does not have to depend on the state government or other agencies for gathering resources.
2. The work of maintenance of the roads of the fair, reconstruction of damaged shops and boundary walls, and repair of water and sewer lines in various sectors of the fair should be completed without any delay so that traders and tourists do not face any kind of inconvenience during the organization of the fair this year. Don’t be.
3. Some nomads and people of criminal nature have been camping on the Gwalior Fair premises for the past several years, posing a serious threat to the security of the fair. These unauthorized people are also occupying the shops at the fair. They should be removed from here immediately.
4. Many shops on the fair premises have been dilapidated for the last several decades. The shops were affected by the fire that occurred a few years ago. Apart from this, shops were also damaged due to the wholesale vegetable market temporarily established by the district administration during the Corona period. Due to this, shopkeepers and tourists are facing inconvenience. Please, these damaged shops should be repaired immediately. A separate compensation amount of Rs 5 crore should be provided to the fair authority from the market department.
5. In the name of innovation in the fair premises, the trend of making craft markets, Sun City, and all the marriage gardens private property on rent, contract, or agreement should be strictly curbed. The craft market complex should be immediately handed over to the control of the fair authority so that the fair authority can organize a market for the artisans here at its convenience.
6. The level of cultural programs to be held at the Gwalior Fair this year should be improved. The cultural programs to be held for two months should have colorful presentations by popular artists from India and abroad and Bollywood artists. In the past, artists like Pakistan’s Hasan Jahangir, Ghulam Ali, Bollywood’s Asha Bhosle, Usha Mangeshkar, Suresh Wadekar, Mahendra Kapoor, Raju Srivastava, etc. have performed on the fair stage. This tradition should be maintained in all of India, including Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira. The top poets and poets of the country should be called. Local poets and mushairas of Gwalior should also be given a chance.
