112 railway passengers, including five women, were tested for HIV

Lakhisarai (Atmanand Singh) HIV and AIDS testing of passengers was done by organizing a camp on Friday at Lakhisarai railway station under Danapur division. The HIV and Blood Bank Unit workers operating in Sadar Hospital collectively tested a total of 12 passengers, including five women, coming to the railway platform for HIV and AIDS. During this, health workers also made the passengers aware of HIV and AIDS diseases.

District Supervisor Dr. JK Lal and DPM Arvind Kumar Rai said that, on the instructions of CS Dr. BP Sinha, a camp was organized to make the passengers aware of serious diseases like HIV/AIDS, and they were tested for HIV/AIDS. It is a matter of relief that, during the investigation, the reports of all 112 passengers were found to be negative. Passengers were also encouraged to get specific information about HIV and AIDS by calling number 1097. Lab technician Ruby Kumari, consultant Guddu Kumar, and others were present on the spot.
