The boy who drowned in the canal has been identified as Zian Ahmed Iqbal Ahmed (age 10 years, resident of Khair Mohammad Plot). Gian’s body was found in the Morna riverbed at Pachmori, some distance from Akola.The search operation for the boy started till late night, today morning again the search operation for the boy started, after which his body was found around morning. The thrill of the boy being swept away by the drain has been captured on a CCTV camera at a house.Meanwhile, Akola District Disaster Management Team, Sant Gadgebaba Emergency Search and Rescue Team of Manavseva Disaster Management Foundation, Pinjar and Vande Mataram Emergency Team conducted search operation at the spot. At this time, a large crowd had gathered at the spot. Due to the underpass in many parts of this drain, there were difficulties in searching.Meanwhile, according to the message received from the Indian Meteorological Department, Nagpur, there is a possibility of rain in Akola district till July 14.
