Inderganj police station takes effective action against vehicle thieves.

Inderganj police station arrested two vicious vehicle thieves along with ten stolen motorcycles.

A total of 10 stolen motorcycles were recovered from the vicious vehicle thieves caught from Inderganj police station, Bahodapur, Old Cantonment area.

Bureau Chief Sandeep Shukla | Gwalior | On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gwalior Mr. Dharamveer Singh (IAS), effective action is being taken to arrest vehicle thieves and Nakbajni criminals in Gwalior district. In line with the above instructions, Additional Superintendent of Police City (Central) Mr. Akhilesh Rainwal instructed Police Station Incharge Inderganj to develop an informer system to catch the thieves by recovering the stolen vehicles from the police station area. On 05.04.2024, information was received through an informer that a Hero Honda Deluxe motorcycle was stolen on 05.02.2024 from in front of UCO Bank Old High Court under Inderganj police station area, a person was standing near Triloki Hotel carrying it. On the above information, a team of Inderganj police station was sent to verify the informer’s information and take action.

In compliance with the instructions of senior officers, under the able guidance of CSP Inderganj Mr. Ashok Singh Jadaun, a police team was sent by the station in-charge Inderganj Inspector Dharmendra Singh Kushwaha near Triloki Hotel, the place mentioned by the informer. There, a boy of the same description as told by the informer to the police team was seen standing carrying the stolen motorcycle. Seeing the police team, he started the motorcycle from the spot and tried to run away, but the said suspect was surrounded and caught by the police force. When asked for the documents of the motorcycle from the said person, he was told that it was not there. When asked about the name and address of the arrested suspect, he told his name to be Suraj, son of Balkishan Jatav, age 26 years, resident of village Barua police station, old cantonment, Gwalior. When the said person was interrogated thoroughly, he told that the motorcycle was stolen from in front of UCO Bank Old High Court on 05.02.2024. Apart from this, the said vehicle thief was also said to have stolen a motorcycle from Inderganj and other police station areas of the city. Stolen motorcycle recovered from the caught vehicle thief, Inspector of Inderganj police station. 34/24 was duly seized from the accused due to Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code and the accused was arrested for the said crime. When the thief caught by the police team was interrogated regarding the motorcycles stolen in other crimes, he admitted to committing thefts at many places in Gwalior district. The accused told to give the stolen motorcycle to his associate Vivek Khanna, son of Captain Khanna, resident of village Khanaita Civil Lines district Morena.

The police team took the arrested vehicle thief Suraj Jatav on remand and reached village Khanaita as per his instructions and searched for his associate Vivek Khanna, who was found present at his house. When asked his name and address, he told his name as Vivek Khanna, son of Captain Khanna, age 20 years, resident of village Khanaita police station Civil Line district Morena. When the police team interrogated him regarding the motorcycles stolen from various police station areas of Gwalior, he tried to mislead the police team. Later, after thorough interrogation by the police team, 06 motorcycles were recovered from the bushes in front of village Maharajpur canal at the behest of accused Vivek Khanna. In which one Hero CD Deluxe motorcycle, four Splendor motorcycles and one Apache motorcycle were duly seized. On date 07.04.2024, the police team investigated crime no. of police station Inderganj. 53/24 PR in Section 379 Bhadvi, accused Suraj, son of Balkishan Jatav, age 26 years, resident of village Barauba police station, Old Cantonment Gwalior and arrested accused Vivek Khanna, son of Captain Khanna, age 20 years, resident of village Khanaita police station, Civil Lines district, Morena, committed three more thefts at the behest of The motorcycle was recovered. In this way, a total of 10 stolen motorcycles were recovered from the two vicious vehicle thieves from Inderganj, Bahodapur, Old Cantonment area of Gwalior district. The PR of the accused is being taken and he is being interrogated in connection with other crimes.

Arrested vehicle thief :-

  1. Suraj, son of Balkishan Jatav, age 26 years, resident of village Barauba police station, old cantonment Gwalior.
  2. Vivek Khanna, son of Captain Khanna, age 20 years, resident of village Khanaita, police station Civil Line, district Morena.

Mashruka recovered :- A total of 10 motorcycles worth approximately Rs 04 lakh 50 thousand.

Commendable role :- Police Station Incharge Inderganj Inspector Dharmendra Singh Kushwaha, Sub Inspector Vikas Rathore, P.R. Santosh Tomar, P.R. Girish Pal, constable Pushpendra Singh Lodhi, constable Neeraj Yadav, constable Deepak Mishra, constable Dharmendra Bhadauria, constable Bhuvaneshwar Jadaun, constable Rajveer Kaurav played a commendable role.
