Krishna On Fear Of Failure:Verse 6.40 says effort is never wasted; young aspirants find courage
A final-year student has filled in the civil services form three times. Each year, she closes the tab before paying the fee. Her fear is simple and heavy: what if she prepares for two years and still does not clear it?Arjuna asks almost the same question in Chapter 6 of the Bhagavad Gita. What happens, he wants to know, to someone who sets out on a spiritual path and falls short?

Action tends to shrink fear faster than reassurance does.Failure Is Rarely FinalKrishna goes on to say that the one who fell short is born again in favourable conditions and continues from where they stopped. In everyday terms, progress carries forward.A failed first driving test usually makes the second attempt calmer and more careful. The Form Finally Goes InVerse 40 of Chapter 6 rules out the idea that honest effort could ever be a total loss.
That thought alone can lift a good deal of fear. The student paid the fee in February. Her first mock test score was low, and she pinned it above her desk as a starting line.Get the latest astrology news and horoscope updates. Download the TOI App.
