“Information has been received about the suicide of young leader Nisha Bhagat, who fought for the rights of tribal society and was a vocal voice of the community. The game of land grabbing is underway in every police station and block of the state. How long will the tribal society continue to be harassed on its own land?” he added. The BJP leader also pointed out that nothing can be more shameful and unfortunate than a young woman who raised her voice for the rights of tribals being harassed to such an extent that she takes her own life.
“Chief Minister Hemant Soren should immediately resign from his post. Those whom Nisha Bhagat held responsible for her suicide should be immediately arrested, and the entire matter should be impartially investigated with strict action taken against the guilty,” Mr. Marandi said.
