Hyd techie found dead after threatening to take her life during video call to boyfriend

HYDERABAD: A software professional died by suicide at her residence in Madhapur in the early hours of Sunday. Police said a relationship issue with her boyfriend may have led her to take the extreme step.Madhapur police said Archana Choudhari Malik, 29, was a senior associate at a company located in Mindspace.She had allegedly been in a relationship with her colleague, Vimal, a native of Uttarakhand, for the past four years.At around 2.30am, while Vimal was attending a function with his mother, Archana made a video call to him and showed him that she was attempting to take her life if he did not marry her.A few minutes later, when Archana stopped responding to his calls, Vimal rushed to her residence in Madhapur.

By the time he reached her flat, it was around 5.30am.He found the door locked and called the police, who arrived at the spot and forced it open. Archana was found dead inside.During the preliminary investigation, police found that Vimal was already married and that his marriage was heading for divorce.
