NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police Special Cell's New Delhi Range (NDR) on Tuesday arrested four accused in connection with the firing incident targeting actor Tiger Shroff and produced them before a court, the police said. The arrested persons have been identified as Kunal (21), Sumit (19), Radha (23) and Babita (23).According to the Delhi Police Special Cell, the four were produced before the court through a Kalandra under Section 35(1)(b) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).Subsequently, officials of the Maharashtra Police's CID, Mumbai, moved an application seeking permission for custodial interrogation and the formal arrest of the accused.

The court allowed the application, following which the Mumbai Police formally arrested the four accused. The Mumbai Police team then sought three days' transit remand to take the accused to Mumbai. The court allowed the application, the Delhi Police Special Cell said.Earlier on Monday, Mumbai Police has taken custody of three suspects arrested in Rajasthan’s Kota in connection with the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff’s car.A local court granted the police a 48-hour transit remand, allowing a Maharashtra Police team to take the accused to Mumbai for further investigation.Mumbai Police reportedly adopted an alternative strategy, dubbed ‘Plan B’, to transport the three suspects.

They were kept at the Railway Colony police station in Kota overnight.Visuals from the police station showed tight security arrangements, with teams from the Mumbai Police Crime Branch and Rajasthan Police maintaining a security cordon around the premises.According to reports, Mumbai Police received instructions to follow ‘Plan B’ while transporting the accused. The police subsequently changed their original plan to take them to Mumbai overnight and decided to keep them in Kota.Speaking on the matter, Ramswaroop Meena, SHO of Railway Colony police station, said the three accused had been granted a 48-hour transit remand and were being transported to Mumbai by Maharashtra Police. The case pertains to the firing incident that took place around 7 pm on Sunday in Mumbai’s Juhu area, when Tiger Shroff was leaving a football club.

The accused allegedly opened fire at the actor’s car. While Shroff escaped direct gunshot injuries, his driver sustained injuries in the incident.According to police, the accused were apprehended while travelling on a train. A case has been registered under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act.(With Agency Inputs)You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Delhi | Silver Rate in Delhi | Bank Holidays in Delhi | Public Holidays in Delhi | Delhi AQI | Weather in Delhi | Petrol Price in Delhi | Diesel Price in Delhi | CNG Price in Delhi | LPG Price in DelhiStay updated with the latest Delhi news.
