Crime Branch’s action against drug smugglers.

Police caught a smuggler who had come to sell smack at the fair ground and seized 290 grams of smack worth about Rs 29 lakh from him.

A total of 290 grams of smack worth approximately Rs 29 lakh, one touch screen mobile, one scooter, a total of Mashrooka worth approximately Rs 29 lakh 28 thousand were seized from the smuggler.

Gulshan Paruthi | Gwalior | On the instructions of Superintendent of Police, Gwalior Shri Dharamveer Singh, BHP, effective action is being taken against drug smugglers and those involved in buying and selling in Gwalior district. On the night of 21.05.2024, the Crime Branch received concrete information through an informer that a smack smuggler was planning to sell illegal narcotic smack behind the Sulabh Complex in the fair ground under the temple area of police station Gola. Senior officials were informed about the information. On the above information, Superintendent of Police Gwalior, Additional Superintendent of Police City (East/Traffic/Crime) Mr. Shiaz KM, BHP, directed the Crime Branch team to verify the informer’s information and take action against the drug smuggler.

In compliance with the above instructions of senior officers, under the able guidance of ASP Crime Mr. Ayush Gupta, BHP and DSP Crime Mr. Nagendra Singh Sikarwar, Police Station Incharge Crime Branch Gwalior Inspector Ajay Singh Panwar and the Crime Branch team under the leadership of Sub Inspector Shishir Tiwari visited the fair ground. Sent to Sulabh Complex for action. There, a person of the same appearance as described by the informer to the police team was seen sitting on a gray scooty wearing a yellow T-shirt and lower. Seeing the police team, the said person tried to run away from the spot by starting his scooter, but the crime team, which was keeping a vigilant cordon, arrested the said person on the spot. On asking his name and address, he told his name to be Sanjay Jatav, son of Atar Singh, resident of Shabdpratap Ashram, Laxman Talaiya police station, Bahodapur district Gwalior.

When the suspect Sanjay Jatav was searched by the police team, a brown colored lumpy substance called smack was found in white polythene from his lower pocket and a Samsung company mobile was found from the other pocket of the lower. When the smack found with the smuggler was weighed by the police team, a total of 290 grams of smack was found to be worth approximately Rs 29 lakh. A case under U.P. 39/24 Section 8/21 NDPS Act was registered against the smuggler in the police station crime branch and he was arrested and 290 grams of smack, a Samsung company mobile and a scooter number MP 06-SN-2771 were found from him. Duly confiscated from him. During interrogation of the smuggler regarding illegal drug smack, he told that he was bringing smack from Uttar Pradesh and selling it in Gwalior. During interrogation, information regarding the local network has also been received from the smack smuggler, on which action is being taken by the crime team. More than one and a half dozen crimes are already registered against the smuggler.

Seized Mashrooka :- A total of 290 grams of smack worth approximately Rs 29 lakh, a Samsung company’s touchscreen mobile, a gray color Honda company’s scooter number MP 06-SN-2771. The total seized Mashrooka worth approximately Rs 29 lakh 28 thousand.

Commendable role :- Police station in-charge, crime branch inspector Ajay Singh Panwar, sub-inspector Shishir Tiwari, R. Ranveer Sharma, Naveen Parashar, Devvrat Tomar, Ramveer Sagar, Sumit Sharma, Devesh Kumar, Hemant Chauhan from Cyber Cell, Dhirendra Rajawat, Hemant Batham, Lokendra Dadoria, Manoj Bhardwaj have played a commendable role.
