Combing patrolling for the purpose of maintaining law and order in view of Lok Sabha elections.

During combing patrolling the police took action against about two hundred more miscreants including liquor, illegal weapons and absconding warrants.

During combing patrolling Gwalior Police arrested a total of 176 warrantees including 111 permanent and 65 arrestees and checked 340 goons and history-sheeters in various police stations of the district.

19 persons involved in illegal liquor smuggling 05 cases of illegal weapons and 01 case of NDPS have been arrested and action has been taken against the accused.

Bureau Chief Pavan Paruthi | Gwalior | Keeping in view the upcoming Lok Sabha elections-2024, with the aim of conducting peaceful voting in the district and maintaining law and order and tightening the noose on habitual criminals, on the instructions of Superintendent of Police, Gwalior Shri Dharamveer Singh, BHP, on 18/19.04.2024 in Gwalior district. In the middle of the night, combing patrolling was done in the police station areas of the city and rural areas from evening till late night. During this, Additional Superintendent of Police City (East) Mr. Shiaz KM, BHP, Additional Superintendent of Police City (West) Mr. Gajendra Vardhaman, Additional Superintendent of Police City (Central) Mr. Akhilesh Renwal and Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Mr. Niranjan Sharma and Gwalior Police. All the gazetted officers of May Police Force along with their subordinate police station in-charges conducted combing patrolling in Gwalior city and rural areas.

Before combing patrolling section wise police force was assembled at different places and the force was briefed by gazetted officers, after which they were sent for combing patrolling in different areas. On this occasion, the Superintendent of Police, Gwalior himself took stock of the combing patrolling in the city and the police officers were directed to take effective action. The combing patrolling of Gwalior Police has created panic among the miscreants of the district. Gwalior police officers along with subordinate police station forces conducted foot patrolling in their respective areas. During this period, along with checking the homes of absconding criminals, warrant officers, goons, history-sheeter criminals and accused of district Badar, they also checked bank ATMs, lodges and dhabas. For this patrolling, police officers formed teams and patrolled the identified sensitive areas in the city and rural areas.

During this period a total of 111 standing warrants, 65 arrest warrants were served in Gwalior district, along with 175 goons and 165 history-sheeters were checked, along with this, 19 persons involved in smuggling of illegal liquor, and 05 cases of illegal weapons and NDPS Act were booked. Action was taken in 01 case.

During this campaign police teams took preventive action against many active criminals and also updated the records of goons and history-sheeters. The police roamed the streets and neighborhoods of the city and rural areas and arrested goons and miscreants. This combing patrol was conducted by the Superintendent of Police, Gwalior, with the aim of maintaining law and order in the district in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Police teams visited the houses of goons and miscreants and took information about them. During checking, every goon and miscreant were also warned that if they are found involved in any criminal activities, strict action will be taken against them. The accused who were released from jail were also checked. This action taken by Gwalior Police with the aim of controlling crime and maintaining law and order will continue in future also.
