Emphasis laid on providing better facilities for patients and attendants.

Expressed displeasure after finding ICU monitor switched off.

Instructions given to issue show cause notice to in-charge doctor and nurse.

Bureau Chief Pavan Paruthi | Gwalior | Provide the best facilities for the patients and their families in OPD, all wards, ICU and entire premises of District Hospital Murar. There should be no laxity in this. Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan gave instructions to this effect to the Civil Surgeon. Collector Mrs. Chauhan had come to do a surprise inspection of the district hospital on Saturday. He expressed his displeasure over the monitor not being operational in the ICU here and directed to issue show cause notice to the in-charge doctor, duty doctor and duty nurse. Besides, instructions were given to impose penalty on the concerned agency if bedsheets were not found clean on some beds.

Collector Mrs. Chauhan took a detailed look at the ICU, OPD wing, various wards, registration counter, maternity wing, post-operative ward, children ward etc. of Murar District Hospital. During the inspection, he said that so that the patients in the district hospital premises do not have to face the heat, a plan should be made and implemented as per the need to install air conditioners in various wards and other units of the hospital including ICU. Collector Mrs. Chauhan instructed the Civil Surgeon to immediately start the monitor of the ICU and to paint the medicine trays and other materials here. Also asked to send DPR for construction of maternity wing for approval as soon as possible.

Arrange for speakers at the registration counter.

During the inspection of OPD of District Hospital Murar, Collector Mrs. Chauhan instructed to arrange for a speaker at the registration counter. Also, railings should be installed in the maternity wing so that the registration queue can be organized in an organized manner. He also gave instructions to display the registration related board in front of the registration counter. Also asked to install a water cooler in the maternity wing.

Get positive messages written at various places in the hospital premises.

Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan laid special emphasis on creating a positive and comfortable environment for the patients in the district hospital. He said that chairs should be installed at various places in the hospital premises for patients and their families to sit. Also, display inspirational messages on the walls of the hospital premises, so that patients can be positive and get well as soon as possible. He also laid special emphasis on strengthening the cleanliness system of the hospital.

Make children’s ward child friendly.

Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan instructed the Civil Surgeon to make the children’s ward child friendly. Along with displaying attractive and inspiring cartoons on the walls of the ward, along with making other arrangements keeping in mind the interests of the children, make it a child-friendly ward.

Provide space for ATM in hospital premises.

Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan also asked for coordination with banks to install ATM in the district hospital premises for the convenience of patients and their families. He instructed the Civil Surgeon to identify a place for an ATM in the hospital premises.

Suggestion to increase practice fee.

A suggestion was also made to increase the fees to be deposited by government doctors practicing in their residential premises. Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan asked the Civil Surgeon to prepare its proposal. It is known that currently one thousand rupees are being deposited in the account of the Patient Welfare Committee by the practicing doctor. Similarly, proposals were also made to increase the fee for indoor patient from Rs 30 to Rs 60 and to keep the fee for testing through TMT (Trade Mile Test) machine at Rs 300. Collector Mrs. Chauhan has asked to consider these proposals after examining them.

Install TV and AC in private ward.

He gave instructions to install TV and AC in the rooms of the private ward of the district hospital. Also said that room charges can be increased in private wards to increase facilities on the lines of modern hospitals.

Employees doing good work should be honored every month.

Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan gave instructions to the Civil Surgeon to honor the paramedical staff and other employees doing good work in the district hospital every month. He said that a committee should be formed for this. Get the performance of the employees assessed by this committee and honor the employees doing excellent work.

Prepare the district hospital as per excellent standards.

Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan has emphasized on making the district hospital excellent in terms of medical standards. He said that he gave instructions to make arrangements in the hospital as per NABH (National Accreditation Board of Hospital), NABL (National Accreditation Board of Laboratory) and NQAS (National Quality Insurance Standard), so that the district hospital can meet all these standards and get an excellent position can do.
